Inspiration

This is such a stylish and simple engagement shoot. We're swooning over Maggie's midi skirt, relaxed fit mustard yellow jumper and nude heels - a gorgeous outfit. The couple are both architects so it was fitting to have their portraits taken at The Barbican - an iconic British building. Plus the couple had access to areas not usually open to the public. The images from Babb Photo are stunning - capturing the couple, the architecture and the light in beautiful harmony. We'll be featuring Maggie & Sam's wedding too, so watch this space...

How We Met

We have been together for 7 years. We met at the University of Bath nearly 11 years ago where we were both Architecture undergraduates. We got together on the last day of uni, the night before Maggie went home to HK. We have since worked and studied together in London and now live together in Shoreditch.

The Proposal

Sam proposed to me at the summit of Pen y Fan mountain in the Brecon Beacons on Easter weekend 2014. Wales is special to both of us as Sam grew up in mid-Wales and Maggie went to school in Brecon.

The Wedding

We love London and we want our wedding to celebrate what makes it such a special place. Our wedding venue is a Georgian villa set in Clissold park, with our reception venue a former warehouse near King’s Cross. Clissold House is an intimate venue, set on the hill overlooking Clissold park. It's a perfect setting for a relaxed summer wedding, with all our guests enjoying the house and the park. We're taking a traditional London bus to King’s Cross to our reception venue at 06 St Chad’s Place. The large warehouse space has timber trusses and exposed brickwork, which will provide a great backdrop for dinner and dancing!
