Inspiration

Tatum and David stayed true to what they liked and decided to ditch tradition. They took inspiration from trips to Australia, bus rides home and recommendations from suppliers resulting in a botanical wedding at The Ace Hotel in London. Tatum wore stylish Maia Bergman separtes with blue Jimmy Choo shoes, and her bridesmaids looked incredible by her side in white dresses too. The captures by September Pictures of them roaming the streets of Shoreditch are full of fashion and fun, you're going to love them!

Inspiration & Styling

I found our venue by spotting a disco ball in the 100 room of the Ace Hotel on my bus commute home. I was intrigued about what events they could host and emailed the events manager. Buses seem to be quite key in my wedding fate :) David and I quite like modern industrial design which the Ace is perfect for. I wanted greenery and flowers to soften the space for our wedding. The style of our wedding was botanical and representative of my home. Travelling back to Sydney last year I have inspired the mix of tropical and non-tropical plants and flowers. You can see that in my bouquet, flower arch and table settings. Anthuriums, orchids, roses, dahlias and tropical foliage was the request to Grace Mary.

Maia Bergman

Tatum knew she didn’t want a traditional dress and would prefer a two-piece. Given her petite size, she almost immediately decided she was going down the bespoke wedding dress route, until her hair stylist Jenny recommended Maia Bergmanto to her. She met Maia six months before the wedding and was blown away buy her collection. Maia was super organised and worked with an amazing seamstress Miki Fukai in East London. Together they both made Tatum's bridal experience easy and enjoyable, and she looked killer strutting down the street with her bridesmaids in white dresses.

Advice

Your wedding should reflect who you are as a couple which means you can’t get it wrong as long as you stay true to what you both believe in and want for your big day. There will be many opinions offered about how you should structure your day, who to invite and what traditions to follow. Stay true to want you want and the only people you need to make happy on that day is each other.
