Inspiration

Today's country wedding at, RMW recommended venue, Elmore Court, has got us wanting to fast forward to July with a stunning bride in a strapless mermaid wedding dress and a glass of something cold drinks on the lawn. The Cotswolds venue was the perfect location for these childhood sweethearts (who met when they were just 11!) to tie the knot. With a little help from friends and amazing suppliers, the day was a rustic, romantic success! Now pass the Pimms while we scroll through this stunning Summer wedding!

What Made Our Day Unique

If you could reflect 'us' as a couple in any way it would be our wedding day. Having met at school aged 11 and then dating from age 16 we had many years of 'us' to incorporate into our day. Being able to bring our family and friends from across the world together on a day full of sunshine was a dream come true. Our venue was hands down the inspiration for much of our wedding. We wanted to create a relaxed, summer garden party feel and Elmore and its' staff enabled us to do this. The natural surroundings, the ability to do pretty much anything we wanted and the outrageously good food enabled us to create a natural, rustic feel which put people at ease. Everything from Pimms on the lawn to marshmallows and sparklers at the fire pit helped create the perfect party atmosphere. Elmore helped our wedding to sparkle!

Mermaid Wedding Dress

The strapless Maggie Sottero mermaid wedding dress was the perfect choice for the summer garden party style day. Framed by her bridesmaids wearing pink lace dresses, the bridal party definitely looked picture perfect. As the sun shone down, the wedding guests enjoyed the gardens of the beautiful Elmore Court that decorated in flowers, woods, hessian and feathers to create a natural, soft feel to the wedding.

Inspiration & Styling

We always wanted a relaxed, informal and slightly rustic summer wedding. When we visited Elmore Court in the middle of January and loved it, we knew we had found the perfect place. Elmore Court was incredible, we loved the history of and the journey Elmore had been on. Many places had given us a list of what we couldn’t do, Elmore was different, it was a case of 'What can we do for you?'. The team went above and beyond what we could have imagined. We always knew we wanted our wedding to have a natural feel and bring the outdoors in, The Gillyflower at Elmore really enabled this. Where possible we chose to use flowers, wood, feathers and hessian to decorate. To bring a hint of glamour we chose to incorporate accents of rose gold sparkle. Many of our decorations were homemade. We tried to do as much as possible ourselves as we are both quite creative and wanted our personalities to shine through. However, the stars of the show on the day were our amazing flowers, Beth did a wonderful job of creating glamorous yet rustic displays.
