Inspiration

Spring is in the air at this Middleton lodge wedding, complete with antipasti wedding breakfast, moon gate altar and a silent disco. And thanks to a whole host of talented family and friends, and several DIY projects it was all within budget!

What Made Our Day Unique

Our wedding was set in a beautiful walled garden and we were so lucky to have glorious sunshine all day! We had wood-fired artisan pizzas, olives and antipasti for our wedding breakfast… because everyone loves pizza and it was the perfect meal to accompany the relaxed feel to the day. Entertainment was really important to us and we organised a day of fun. We had a ceilidh to get everyone up and moving and finished the night with a fantastic silent disco. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day with all our nearest and dearest.

The light flooding in the fig house of Middleton Lodge's is just perfect. In fact, it follows Eleanor and Liam throughout their whole wedding day, blessing the couples portraits in the gardens, and the emotional ceremony, where more than one guest had to wipe away their tears. It also makes the embellished bodice on Eleanor's Maggie Sottero wedding dress glisten.

Inspiration & Styling

Boho-glam was our wedding vibe. We wanted the day to feel relaxed and the venue to be enhanced with natural beauty by filling it with flowers and foliage. We chose to have gold accents running throughout, which added an element of sophistication and glamour. Like most brides, I browsed Pinterest when searching for inspiration, but got creative by introducing modern, geometric gold structures. The hexagon moon gate was the star of the show, entwined with foliage and flowers, giving height to the floral arrangements that flowed throughout the venue.
