What Made Our Day Unique
We wanted the whole day to be a celebration of us, our friends and family and all of the other things we love. We tried to make as much as possible ourselves, and wanted everything to be a more special version of our everyday lives, We are both very creative people and wanted to let that show as well as using it as an excuse to try some new things!
Minimalist Wedding Decor
Relaxed, modern and minimalist wedding decor was the order of the day for Laura & George's nuptials. They used lots of white and green plywood with black and white wedding stationery and handmade candlesticks and the paired-back look complemented their wedding venues beautifully. The, less is more approach is definitely some of our most popular concepts featured on the blog. We treated the whole day as an epic DIY project, George is a furniture maker and when we couldn’t find any hire benches we liked we decided to make our own, this quickly snowballed into tables, food boxes, cake stands a post box and various other bits, the whole day was a sea of plywood. Laura's mum made her own wedding dress we always knew she would make mine as well, this quickly snowballed into a bridesmaids dress as well as a dress for herself! I loved going through the whole process with her and it made wearing the dress incredibly special. Laura is also a designer so wanted to create all of the wedding stationery herself, typically this then snowballed into handmade tea light holders, Perspex place-names, seating plans and an order of service complete with a dot to dot. The whole day was perfectly us and we will remember it forever.
