Bright florals are such a gorgeous bold look and this inspiration shoot from Minnehaha events has them in abundance. They are the perfect contrast to the wonderful Tipi backdrops and you know how we love a tipi wedding.
The Barn Bistro is a go to venue for intimate, boutique weddings in North Yorkshire. Wedding Coordinator Clair explains how the natural progression was to expand into tipi weddings “We would constantly be asked if we could host events for 100 plus guests, which unfortunately our little stone barn just can’t quite manage! We started looking around for a solution, and as soon we saw the tipis, just fell in love with them… they fit with our casual, informal style perfectly.”
So now, we have created Minnehaha Events: two connected giant hat tipis catering for up to 136 seated guests as a dedicated tipi wedding event space. “We are thrilled to have created another unique venue, perfect for relaxed weddings. The tipis have their own bar area, dance floor and lots of outdoor space… your guests can even camp over if you are going for a real ‘festival wedding’ vibe.”
Having previously worked with Kirsty Berridge, from Minnie Bees Floral Design, and photographer Tony Wilson at Photography34, Clair instantly knew who she wanted on board for her promotional photo shoot “I started thinking about the style of the shoot, and wanted to include some metallic elements and some bold, tropical brights for the flowers: I knew straight away that Kirsty would be the perfect choice to create something that would really ‘pop’ against the natural colour of the tipis, and Tony is well known for the amazing colours he captures in his images”
When asking previous brides where they had got their stunning gowns from, Clair kept hearing the same name ‘The Little Pearl Bridal Boutique’ “As soon as I visited Diana at her beautiful boutique, I knew she was the right person to style the models for the shoot. I explained how I wanted a contemporary and fashion led look, and she suggested the Charlotte Balbier separates collection.”

From Diana “I was so excited when Clair asked me to be a part of this styled shoot, knowing that our Charlotte Balbier Separates collection would work perfectly in the setting. The collection is for the free spirited bride, who wants to express her personality and bring a stylish edge to her bridal look. There are so many different looks that can be created, with options including full tulle skirts paired with a cropped lace topper, or a soft satin slip paired with a long sleeved lace topper. There is a combination for everyone! The Barn has such a relaxed but chic feel to it, where couples have a blank canvas and can really go to town on creating their own individual style. I’m thrilled that this style of wedding venue is now available on the Yorkshire Coast and i’m sure it is going to attract people from far and wide.”
