Planning

When Louise from One Stylish Day burst onto the wedding scene last year, we were very excited - we loved her branding, we loved her Instagram feed and we just knew we had to share her talents with you lovely lot. Louise offers her bespoke planning and styling services to couples across the country and she's one of our current sponsors, which means we really rate her talents. This gorgeous shoot at Victoria Warehouse shows you can do ethereal and elegant in an industrial space - you just need Louise involved ;)

THE CONCEPT

The aim of this shoot was to provide inspiration for modern couples, to give them the confidence to think outside the box when planning their wedding. An urban location doesn’t have to mean industrial decor. A warehouse space can be styled in an organic, soft and elegant way and the contrast can be something totally breathtaking!

THE STYLING

The exposed brick walls, steel pillars and concrete floors of Victoria Warehouse were the perfect backdrop and a beautiful contrast to the minimal, elegant styling. The tablescape and styling details were kept simple and airy, to contrast the moody atmospheric light within the warehouse. For the tablescape, draped white linens were layered with a muslin runner and the simplicity of white on white continued with clean organic shaped crockery. Details for texture and interest were added with copper cutlery and concrete candle holders. We went heavy on the foliage with an abundance of ruscus, pistache, ivy and olive trailing the table, the walls and hanging overhead. The stationery was copper foiled on Indian handmade cotton rag paper giving gorgeous raw edges and a real tactile finish. Minimal, simple typography was perfectly placed and a copper screw post was used to bind the elements together, giving a nod to the industrial space. Candles were used on mass throughout and created a beautiful soft and very romantic light that washed over the entire space. The wedding cake was kept very simple and elegant which we styled infront of the steel shutters allowing the cake to be washed in the natural light and epitomise the contrasting elements of the shoot; industrial space meets clean, modern, minimalism. Our Bride wore simple, sleek and very stylish gowns with clean lines and modern cuts. Slick hair and dewy, metallic make-up epitomised the modern, millennial Bride.
