What Made Our Day Unique
We really wanted to bring into our day our love for each other, our faith and celebrate our different cultures. A lot of our friends and family are agnostic, so we loved that we had a constant but subtle message about Gods love through worship, a message and prayer, people were so touched and intrigued by this. We also wanted to create a space for our son to enjoy so we hired a play tipi for him and his friends. In the evening, we surprised our guests with traditional Nigerian food and changing into our Yoruba outfits for the party.
Morilee Wedding Dress
Georgina and Raphael are one incredibly dressed duo. They start their day in a lace Morilee wedding dress and tuxedo and culminate their celebration in traditional Nigerian Yoruba outfits. They are also very laid back and decided not to allow themselves to get stressed about the finer details, watching all their plans evolve on their wedding day. Keeping to the stylish black-tie theme, the bridesmaids wore white dresses and they decorated the marquee reception with an abundance of white blossom.Inspiration & Styling
It really just evolved, we were both so relaxed about the whole process but knew we loved the simple decor with natural light and bright spaces. The weather meant the ceremony had to be indoors rather than on the large garden lawn but actually it made it lovely and intimate. If we were to sum it up it would be a contemporary white wedding with lots of white flowers, greenery and a few gold accents for the day and a traditional Yoruba Nigerian Wedding party in the night.
