What Made Our Day Unique
Our Venue, we fell in love with it immediately. The views were breathtakingly beautiful and we loved the luxury, rocky, cliff-top villas. They looked like something out of a James Bond film! Hiring private villas meant we could do the whole wedding in one place and lots of the guests could stay over. It was a huge holiday for everyone and that is what made it so special. We put on different events each day/night over 5 days; we could bring in our own alcohol and we had no curfew so it meant we could really have some fun!
Mykonos Wedding
Even though the original wedding cake was destroyed in a car crash an hour before the wedding and there were extreme gale force winds, Emily and Nigel enjoyed every minute of their Mykonos wedding. From what I can see, the gale-force wind ensured all the fringe detail on Emily's Rue De Seine wedding dress was shown off to perfection, and the bakers soon rustled up a replacement wedding cake. Plus, I'm certain the incredible ocean view during the cliff top wedding ceremony must have made up for everything.Inspiration & Styling
We wanted a very relaxed, untraditional style that encapsulated Mykonos Island’s vibe. Our rocky villas set in the cliffs overlooking the ocean set our scene, so our styling of neutral colours and bohemian accessories complimented this. My dress was also a big factor and the fringing inspired all the macramé elements. For the general atmosphere, we really wanted a relaxed holiday that our friends and family would love, not just a wedding day for us. The vibe for the whole week was incredible, everyone was so relaxed and had so much fun! We were all on such a high!
