Ombre Wedding Dress and Hand Painted Leather Jacket for a Rustic Wedding in Dorset

Featuring not one, but two of our recommended wedding suppliers, this countryside Dorset wedding at River Cottage is going to blow you away. Firstly you’ll be smitten with the brides blush pink ombre wedding dress by Needle & Thread, then you’ll be in awe of all the awesome games and entertainment Amy and Steve organised for their guests. I reckon I’d definitely be in for the running to win the welly throwing competition if my competitive nature decided to make an appearance.

WHAT MADE OUR DAY UNIQUE

“Amy has ties to Bridport in Dorset, and we really wanted to get married in the local area. Having grown up watching River Cottage and regularly visiting the canteen in Axminster, it quickly became our first place to consider. After seeing the venue, we made our decision and didn’t look anywhere else. We loved the idea of getting married outside and we were so lucky with the weather on the day. We hired the River cottage games package which included welly throwing, skittles and coconut shire. Everyone loved the welly throwing and one guest won a golden welly signed by Hugh Fearnley- Whittingstall. “ – Amy & Steve

Ombre Wedding Dress

Guilty as charged, we absolutely LOVE a Needle & Thread wedding dress. Especially when they are full of amazing details like Amy’s gown. From the embellishment to the high neck and long sleeve design, and not forgetting the gorgeous blush ombre tulle skirt it’s certainly ticking all the boxes and more. But, this was not Amy’s original choice! After falling pregnant Amy’s first Needle & Thread gown no longer fit, but N&T were so kind they allowed Amy to swap her dress for an alternative, no questions asked. Just the level of customer service you’d expect from an RMW handpicked supplier. She finished her bridal look with a customised leather jacket and Rockstud bridal shoes and was pure bridal goals.

INSPIRATION & STYLING

“We loved River Cottage as a venue because of its rustic charm and relaxed and natural beauty. The venue didn’t need anything adding, as it was exactly what we were looking for. We arranged a few additional flowers and had sparklers in the evening which the guests loved. “ – Amy & Steve

Amy and Steve knew what their first dance was going to be early in their wedding planning. They chose the wonderful Perfect by Ed Sheeran, which was also a popular choice amongst our readers when we asked them. In fact, there were so many fabulous suggestions we decided to collate them into one handy article to help future couples decide. Plus, if you like the sound of Amy and Steve’s wedding band Resident Hero’s, who did a special rendition of It Wasn’t Me by Shaggy that their wedding guests are still talking about, you can book them through our recommended supplier, Alive Network entertainment agency.
