All aboard! This short but sweet ceremony at Orleans House Gallery in Richmond was just the beginning of this cool, city celebration. The Bride & Groom and their guests then hitched a ride on a boat down the Thames to Bingham Riverhouse where they enjoyed a relaxed, informal garden party. Aside from the peachy toned wedding flowers and brides bouquet, there was minimal decor as the venues definitely speak for themselves! Love the Bride & Groom's sunglasses too!

What Made The Day Unique

Our wedding was in Richmond, which is such a special place to us because it’s where we had some of our early first dates and where we have been living for the last 6 years. We love how green and leafy the area is and being by the river, so centered the day around that. The ceremony was at Orleans House, we wanted it to be the shortest part of the day so we could get our guests onto the boat with a drink as quickly as possible!

Orleans House Gallery

The Orleans House Gallery is filled with grand, high ceilings, huge windows and is so very decadent, it provides a perfect balance of peaceful countryside within an urban setting. Which of course lends itself to be the most wonderful backdrop to any wedding photos - which Miss Gen Photography has captured fabulously for Isabel & Matt! The wedding party then moved onto Bingham Riverhouse for the second part of the celebration, having the two venues not only breaks the day up for the guests but also means you don’t have to pick between them!

Inspiration & Styling

We wanted the day to be chilled, fun and not too traditional - pretty much just a riverside garden party (with a champagne reception boat trip!). We didn't really have any decorations as we thought the venues were beautiful as they were and just added some floral arrangements throughout.

"We had quite wild and textured arrangements in mismatched vintage vases & urns around the venues. I absolutely adored our florist Daisy Ellen, she was so detailed with everything and in such a lovely and calm way. She also totally got the look that I was going for - I created some mood-boards for her with flowers & colour palettes that I liked and she interpreted them beautifully. There were certain flowers that I love (anemones and ranunculus) which weren't in season, but she recommended some lovely alternatives that I'd never heard of before." - Isabel & Matt
And it just so happens that the wonderfully talented Daisy Ellen Floral Design, along with Lilac & White who designed the beautifully understated but elegant stationery for this chic wedding, are part of our handpicked directory - an exclusive selection of recommended suppliers for everything your heart could desire for your big day!
