This wedding party was made up of the traditional groomsmen in matching outfits, the best girls in pale blue bridesmaid dresses and more unusually, the beloved pets of our gorgeous couple! Lyra the labrador and Spencer the horse were the VIP guests, groomed to perfection and adorned in blush florals, with Lyra even having a starring role in the ceremony.
The outdoor-loving couple fell in love with the rustic feel of Odo's Barn wedding venue in Kent, with it's exposed beams and high ceilings, there was a sense of bringing the outdoors in! The DIY decor, including the seating plan, paper peonies and favours, had all been lovingly made by the bride and groom themselves and their families. What Made Our Day Unique
I think the addition of our furry family made our day really special and a bit different from others. We had our black labrador, Lyra walk down the aisle before me and sit in the church throughout the ceremony. After we were married and making our way across the field to the Barn for the reception, my horse Spencer greeted us and our guests and we had some amazing photos taken with them both and as a family!

The pale blue bridesmaid's dresses and blush pastel flowers perfectly complemented the rustic charm of the Kent wedding venue and of course the stunning bride. The Martina Liana wedding dress with lace strap details, button back, and beautiful train were paired with some silver embellished heels with a half up half down hairstyle. This was topped off with a blush flower hairpiece to match her beloved four-legged guests!
Inspiration & Styling
We lead a very outdoors lifestyle and the Bride especially spends the majority of her time in her Hunters in muddy fields with Lyra and Spencer. So we wanted to make sure that our outdoors lifestyle was reflected at our wedding and holding the Reception in such a beautiful, rustic and original Barn certainly ensured that. The addition of the animals as special guests, hay bales, views and sharing food bought that alive. All of the decor, tables, favours, menu board, seating plan etc were very in keeping in the barn vibe and the majority of the styling was made by us by hand.
We have mentioned it once and we will most definitely mention it again because WE ARE // THE CLARKES captured this wedding beautifully, the emotion and the detail, it was perfect and exactly the reason we have them on our recommended supplier list, as we know you will love them as much as we do! Just like Alive Network the entertainment agency that this couple used to find their band that kept their friends and family on their feet all evening!
