Inspiration

Hold on to your hats: this luxe Lost Orangery wedding is otherworldly. The lakeside ceremony, soft pastel colour scheme, wishing tree and breathtaking blooms add a distinctly 'Midsummer Night's Dream' vibe to proceedings - further enhanced by the fact that guests used the olive chair hoops as hair garlands, which glowed in the evening sun! The pretty pale green bridesmaid dresses perfectly mirror the soft pink drapery in the dining room, which must have also had such a dreamy scent from the orange and bergamot candles given to guests as favours. With the unforgettable Italian-inspired styling by RMW recommended Hollie Freeland - plus unlimited ice cream enjoyed on the lawn after dinner - this is quite some way to start your happily ever after.

The Vibe Of Our Day

We were originally looking at Italy, but as a detail-driven person I couldn’t cope with the thought of planning a wedding remotely. Luckily, we found Valentina’s Lost Orangery and immediately fell in love with it – the dream of having an Italian-inspired wedding came true! We wanted our wedding to be unique and tailored to us, therefore we loved the fact that only a handful of weddings had taken place there and we had the freedom to choose our own suppliers. Another bonus was having exclusive hire of the estate for three days, which meant we could set up stress-free and, most importantly, extend our celebrations with our friends and family.

Kelly & Dean

Pale Green Bridesmaid Dresses

Kelly & Dean's colour scheme was inspired by the abundant beauty of the venue itself - and little wonder; isn't it magical? Sage green, blush pink and creamy white all complement the romantic ambience already on offer at Valentina's Lost Orangery, and the pale green bridesmaid dresses - definitely something of an on-trend tone - fit the glamorous-cum-ethereal vibe of this wedding perfectly. Kelly & Dean even told us that the sunset turned pink for them at the end of the evening, before green, pink and gold fireworks lit up the night sky. This setting, and this styling, leave me weak at the knees. If anyone ever tells you that romance is dead, this fairytale wonderland is proof otherwise.

Inspiration Behind The Styling

The natural charm of the venue, with climbing roses and orange trees, automatically created the romantic Italian fairytale feel we dreamt of. Our florist, Charlotte Elizabeth, used natural silvery greens such as eucalyptus and olive to bring in the Italian vibes, with hints of white and pale pink to create a luxe overall look. This even extended to the pink hibiscus fizz and gin-based Hugo cocktails served after our ceremony, which beautifully fit the colour scheme! In the poolroom, a timeless tablescape was created by draping hand-dyed pink runners over the trestle tables and displaying a variety of textured cut glass tea lights and tapered candles on top. The varying heights of the tall foliage stands and lower table arrangements created impact and scale.

What's in a wedding venue? Well everything, really. The style of venue you opt for dictates the overall atmosphere of your day, so it's important you choose somewhere which reflects the character you want to create. What kind of couple are you? Do you fancy a bohemian tipi or rustic barn? A romantic orangery like Kelly & Dean?
