Inspiration

Spring has sprung at this beautiful West Sussex pastel wedding. Here to brighten your day, this wedding has an abundance of gorgeous spring blooms and heavenly dove blue bridesmaids. The marquee was nestled in the perfectly picturesque garden of the bride's family home. The bride and groom were not afraid to get their hands dirty and get creative with DIY decor and initial lights for the marquee reception and with an event planner & stylist Mother of The Bride, this day was sure to be one to remember!

What Made Our Day Unique

Having it at the bride’s home was very special for both of us, immediately it was unique. We asked H2NY to help us with an acoustic cover of “Shut up & dance” mixed into the pop version for our first dance. The marquee went up a week in advance and it was then a family affair to get the inside decorated, we made cut out initials of our names covered them in moss and poked through fairy lights, put up the Edison lights, made the name places and to the bride’s delight her Dad hand made the bar out of old scaffold boards.

Pastel Wedding

This pastel wedding colour palette was definitely fitting for a Spring celebration. The flowers looked stunning (as you would expect!) with individual stems and small bouquets in coloured jars littering the marquee and floral installations with lighting hanging above the tables. The bride looked equally stunning in a lace capped sleeve dress with the groom in a light blue waistcoat to complement the bridal party! Everything came together so beautifully!

Inspiration & Styling

We went for a relaxed boho chic vibe, with coloured glass vases, rustic wooden tables, blush pink tones, all to reflect the beautiful english country garden setting that we were blessed with. We really wanted to showcase the stunning garden that we had the drinks reception in, and echo this style in the marquee itself. Our photographer, Richard Pickavance, understood the vibe we were going for perfectly, making us feel so at ease for the photos, capturing beautiful images that we have to treasure forever.

Hosting your own wedding can be stressful, this bride's Mum and Dad had been prepping their garden for a year to make sure it was perfect for their daughter's big day and luckily this bride was able to get the marquee set up a week before, which meant it was all hands on deck to make it look amazing by the time the day came around.
