What Made Our Day Unique
It was the hottest day of the year- 36 degrees! It was a small and intimate wedding- a maximum of 54 people including us. The main venue, Petersham Nurseries, we have been going to every year to celebrate our anniversary so it made it extra special celebrating our wedding there. We had fans that were brought by Chrisel’s grandmother all the way from the Philippines that was well used for the duration of the day due to the weather which added to the magic touch. Lastly, but probably most importantly, we have known each other since we were 13 and have been together since. This is what made us unique.
Petersham Nurseries
Chrisel and David took to the dance floor twice. Once at their Petersham Nurseries wedding breakfast reception and again at their Petersham Hotel evening reception. They had been practising daily to perfect it so it felt natural on the day, and although they made mistakes, it made the moment all the more memorable, especially when David swept Chrisel off her feet. Pure couple goals.Inspiration & Styling
We wanted to go for a rustic and relaxed vibe. We were amongst our nearest and dearest and did not feel the need to impress. We wanted to be ourselves, who loves summer and loved quality intsead of quantity. Walking down the aisle where I saw the groom weep extensively knowing he was at his happiest.
Advice
Start early. You do not need to know what you want straight away. You will find a lot of ideas but do not feel overwhelmed, when you know, you know. We used Instagram, Pinterest and Rock My Wedding for inspiration.
