Pink Colour Scheme

Incorporating a colour scheme into your wedding can start with your stationery and run right through to your bridal party outfits, wedding flowers, cake, decor and beyond. Founders, Rebecca Carpenter Photography and Nataly J Photography of Dreamcapture Workshops, along with Ashleigh at Pink Palm Events show us how to do this perfectly with their Californian Pink Palm Springs inspiration. They style an intimate tablescape perfect for a micro wedding reception with velvet chairs, floral centrepieces, taper candles and tableware all complementing the romantic pink colour scheme. Plus, they include a fabulous cake and biscuit favour stand because no wedding should be without desserts! (Yep the plural was intentional). And dress the bridesmaids in a wonderful array of pink-hued satin dresses. It's all pure goals.

Inspiration & Styling

When Rebecca and Nataly asked me to design & style a pink, Palm Springs inspired shoot I was so ready for it! I created a colour palette for the suppliers to work with, including patterns and textures full of mid-century modern shapes reflective of Palm Springs, to incorporate into the design. You'll see arch shapes feature in the cookies, display & stationery and a midcentury-style font. We used a few different shades of pink in the florals layered against each other, with a tiny feature of dark green. A neutral sand colour, reflective of the desert you'll see across the design too. It was really important to nail the bridesmaid's dresses: they had to be fun, so the girls would feel their best in them and a range of colours & styles (cos we're all individuals!) The bridal dress is relaxed and heavily detailed for the wow factor, something too formal & structured wouldn't have worked with the vibe so chosen matched the brief perfectly
