Don't you just love Autumn weddings? I know I do, especially ones that include wildflowers, lace dresses, tweed suits, and an abundance of love. Lori-Ann and Tom's Priston Mill wedding include all these elements and more and has me longing for this magical season.

What Made Our Day Unique

We tried to do as much as we could ourselves with the help of our friends and family. My mother-in-law made us a beautiful wedding cake. I did all of the stationery and decor myself. A friend's father and brother did the transport for us in their Range Rover and Mercedes. One of my bridesmaids made some raspberry gin and we bottled them together with place name tags for favours. The singing waiters were a great touch and one of my favourite parts of the day, my mum and I booked them as a surprise and we kept it a secret from everyone else including the groom. It got all of our guests up singing and dancing, everyone had a great time. It really set the atmosphere ready for the evening guests arriving and the DJ starting his set for the evening. They were worth every penny and we would highly recommend them to anyone!

Priston Mill

Set in the Somerset countryside, Priston Mill is home to the wonderful Tythe Barn where this Autumnal wedding reception took place. The impressive barn and picturesque gardens were the perfect backdrops for all the rustic decor, classic country attire and seasonal flowers. Add the couples pet dog, a surprise singing waiter and raspberry gin favours and you have a wonderful wedding captured by Ryan Goold Photography to pore over.

Inspiration & Styling

I would say that the vibe for the day was a country wedding with a hint of glam, the venue is very rustic yet with a glamorous charm about it. The styling of the venue was very rustic and authentic, I used old vintage bottles which my dad had collected over the years as centrepieces which the florist filled with beautiful wildflowers. Being October we could use lovely autumnal colours which worked really well with the rustic theme. My dad also made a post box and the board for the table plan out of reclaimed wood, it was great to have a personal touch and worked so well with the rustic charm. The groomsmen suits were a modern tweed style and my dress was very glam which completely goes with my personality.

Inspiration & Styling

My favourite moment has to be when the singing waiters came out and surprised everyone plus my husband. His face was a picture! He had no idea what was going on it was brilliant. Then to see all of our friends and family up dancing and enjoying themselves was actually quite overwhelming. It was exactly what we both wanted from the day, for everyone to enjoy themselves as well as ourselves obviously! I would do it 1000 times over.
