Inspiration

If you're currently rushing around last-minute panic buying, getting the house ready for guests or baking up a storm in the kitchen ready for Christmas day, STOP! As you absolutely NEED to see this dreamy inspiration by Vanitas Life and Jacquio. Together they have come up with a serene colour pallet of blush pinks, soft greys, white and green, not to mention bringing the outdoors in with some immense floral arrangements. All of this is centred around Emma Beaumonts dreamy gowns and all of this will transport you to a moment of calm, which I'm certain you deserve this time of year. You're welcome.

VISION

English garden themed wedding with soft Living Coral colour scheme and Emma Beaumont Couture wedding dresses.

COMBERMERE ABBEY

"Combermere Abbey have a wonderful glass-roofed pavilion which allowed the little light we had, to filter through the big clear windows. Jacqui from Jacqui O Florals and Karen from Desired Occasions styled an English garden themed wedding ceremony with an apple and pear orchard backdrop, one of the key features of the venue." - Emmylou of Vanitas Life

WEDDING DRESSES & BRIDAL LOOK

"Emma Beaumont Atelier loaned two beautiful dresses. We added one of her recent bespoke headbands to the model to add a touch a playfulness and to create a more dramatic look to our Cheshire bride. Emma's dresses work beautifully in any location so we chose the sensual slip dress creating the perfect silhouette and juxtaposed this with a more traditional and elegant full skirt masterpiece. Emma's dresses are exquisite. She commissions dresses for all of her brides and just keeps surprising us all with her couture designs. We kept the makeup simple. We're finding more and more brides are asking for something natural to complement how they usually look from day-to-day. The more comfortable a bride is with her makeup, I find the more relaxed she is on the day and enjoys it more without worrying. Michelle works all over the world and created a soft look for our naturally beautiful model Lara. Michelle is also a hair specialist and again, kept the hair simple to create a more fashion feel rather tan bridal look. " - Emmylou of Vanitas Life

Puffed Sleeve Wedding Dress

If you're old enough to remember puffed sleeve wedding dresses were a huge fashion statement in the 1980s thanks to Princess Diana and her David Emanuel iconic gown. Today, fabulous RMW recommended supplier Emma Beaumont, has given puff sleeves a modern twist and thoroughly revived them in my eyes.

INSPIRATION & STYLING

"With Autumn around the corner, we wanted to add a touch of warmth and use a hue Pantone's colour of the year 2019 ' living coral' to create a seasonal wedding that wasn't overpowered by the brighter and louder reds and oranges. Jacqui and I planned the shoot after working together numerous times on many weddings. My photography style is a mixture of portraiture and reportage with a touch of fine art. I have a deep love for flowers that stemmed from studying a BA Fine Art and falling in love with dutch still life. Jacqui's style was perfect for this shoot and was such a pleasure to photograph. The pavilion was also the perfect place for our tablescape due to its wide-open space. Combermere also has a marquee to house the couple's wedding breakfast. In keeping with the garden theme, we chose the blank canvas walls of the pavilion to make an impact on the delicate florals and fabrics. After shooting in the pavilion, we couldn't resist stepping outside into the formal garden, even though it was raining and utilising the lush green spots for couple and family photos. Combermere's garden has careful attention by their team of gardens which vary from farmland to woodlands and lakes to formal fruit and flower-rich borders and tennis courts surrounded by cottages. " - Emmylou of Vanitas Life

WEDDING CAKE

"Hannah Matilda's cake worked effortlessly with the whole feel of the theme embracing the soft palette and negative space of Combermere's pavilion. Hannah makes the most beautiful cakes and was first a pastry chef before she started making her own wedding cakes and treats. I think that's what makes her cakes so special and she's a chef first and an artist second." - Emmylou of Vanitas Life

Like any wedding day, you always hope Plan A will be the best outcome with an outdoor ceremony following by sun-filled couple portraits in the formal gardens. In the back of your mind you know there is an extremely likely case of rain, even in the Summer months and so you quietly make decisions for Plan B and hope to God you never have to fulfil them. Apart from the mad dash on the bride under an umbrella, you'd never know this shoot was subjected to showers as it looks perfect as it is. But if you'd like to ensure you have a plan B, give our When Things Go Wrong Podcast a listen so you can plan for all eventualities.
