Inspiration

Want to make a statement on your wedding day? Three words: Red wedding dress. This gorgeous Millia London gown looks straight out of fashion week. We can't get over that plunging neckline and ruffled skirt! Also, this isn't Tuscany. It's actually Oastbrook Estate in East Sussex!

The main inspiration for this shoot by Carmela Weddings was to bring together a blend of London and Chinese culture. Red, a symbol of luck in China, white and silver were all prominent colours in the ceremony, mixed with contemporary decor. It's undeniably stunning.

Couture red wedding dress for a high-fashion inspired shoot.

This shoot was inspired by my love of London; contemporary vibes and infusion of high energy, artistry, creativity, youthfulness and couture fashion. America and Nick incorporate nods of Chinese culture around Oastbrook Estate, having lived there for 7 years. So I wanted to blend their love of China into the shoot as well.

STYLING

The intimate red, white, and silver theme strikes a balance between understated elegance and bold, contrasting colours. Red is symbolic of luck in China, so the shoot featured a fun red wine pouring ceremony and an iconic red wedding dress by Millia London. Finishing touches on the red theme include fabulous scarlet stationery and classic red roses.

VIBE

Elegant and sleek simplicity with an editorial-meets-bridal feel. Inspired by a love of London's contemporary vibes and fashion-forward culture, red symbolises a nod to Chinese culture. Think show-stopping centrepieces, neon lighting, glitter balls, and fringe installations! Afterwards, the shoot ended with a bit of after-party glamping.

BRIDAL OUTFITS

Not one, but three bridal outfits were used for this shoot! Mixing things up with a red wedding dress, bridal suit and a classic romantic white gown. Her hair and makeup effortlessly blends sleek editorial and elegant bridal, with understated hairstyles like a low central ponytail and natural makeup for a softer wedding day look.

Set in Oastbrook Estate in the quaint countryside of East Sussex, this luxury English Vineyard is a unique venue. The stunning location means you no longer have to travel to Provence or Tuscany to experience a vineyard!
