Planning

It’s not often that an amazing brand for Bridesmaids pops into our inboxes and stops us in our tracks. But that’s exactly what the new collection from Rewritten did. The dresses are simply gorgeous FULL STOP, with no ‘for Bridesmaids dresses’ caveat... I’d wear every style in every colour. I guess that’s what happens when the people behind the brand have serious fashion kudos.

The Girls

Fran gained a 1st class Honours degree in fashion design from the prestigious Edinburgh College of Art which she followed with ten years of working in luxury fashion and jewellery PR. Katie is a sales wizard and has been working in the jewellery industry for almost ten years managing UK & International wholesale and direct channels for a major global jewellery brand. Her experience in market analysis and relationship building – ultimately growing UK & International sales channels – is second to none. Essentially they are a power duo whose are also stylish, young women, designing dresses to be worn and not just on the wedding day.

The Brand

We’ve see a huge turn towards the high street in recent years to find the perfect Bridesmaids dresses at a fraction of the cost of more traditional brands. But now you don’t need to make any compromises - priced at between £140 - £160 (no more than high end high street) each dress, top and skirt comes specially packaged in a luxury Rewritten box. Initially available to buy online from 1st November 2016 and available for preorder now, the website will offer a unique service in which Brides can send each of their Bridesmaids a dress to their individual addresses, making the dress truly feel like the special gift it should be. The launch collection from Rewritten features five signature styles, each available in one of four colours – Concrete, Peachy, Bluebell and Chianti. Crafted in a beautiful chiffon crepe polyester, each dress is layered throughout and finished with invisible zips, delicate ties and covered buttons (the things you’ll normally be compromising with dresses bought from the high street).

The Designs

Styles include the Vienna, a floor length racer back dress with waist tie fastening, the Marrakech, a cold-shoulder double layer top with floor length skirt, the Havana, a halter neck top with stitch detailing and a stepped hem with a floor length skirt, the Florence, an ankle length wrap dress with back and waist tie detail and the Tokyo, a knee length wrap dress with back and waist tie detail. And the hot-off-the press Cold Shoulder design, which we received yesterday and are totally loving. Each dress is designed with a wide circumference to give a fuller skirt, allowing for beautiful movement when walking or dancing. I’m head over heels for the Marrakech top and skirt. The shape is gorgeous, I love how it falls away at the shoulders AND I’d totally wear the top again and again - with smart trousers and heels, with jean shorts, to dress up a jersey pencil skirt...the possibilities are endless. Plus you can totally mix and match the collection as the styles and colours work beautifully together. Concrete and peachy are a dreamy combo ;)

Rewritten

It’s so refreshing to see a collection that is style led and includes a mixture of short and long designs in a range of contemporary colours. I know - it's not a lot to ask is it?! We're really excited to watch Rewritten grown and to start seeing some of you lovely lot wearing their dresses! If you’d like any more information about Rewritten and to preorder your Bridesmaids dresses than head over to the Rewritten website. You can also follow them on Instagram here and on Facebook here.
