You know when you watch your favourite entertainment show and the stars exit with a show reel of all their ‘best bits’ well imagine having the ‘best bits’ of your wedding recorded and edited by the professionals of that very show.
Lauren from A Piece of The Party has worked on many of these shows and has the ability to not only capture all those candid moments but also edit all the footage so you are left with an amazing film you can watch, smile, enjoy and treasure for years to come.
Lauren from A Piece of the Party: I’ve worked in TV for over a decade now, producing some of the UK’s biggest entertainment shows, including Take Me Out, The X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother (which I love!) I specialise in edit producing which is where you put the best, funniest and most moving moments together on video, which lead me to think about how I could extend my experience to real life and document the best bits of people’s lives on film.
So when two years ago, I was asked to film a best bits for a friend, I was totally hooked! Now I split my time between producing for TV (I’m currently working on Take Me Out) and running A Piece of the Party. I’m lucky enough to have worked with some of the best producers, directors and editors in the business, so when I’m not creating best bits myself, my extremely talented colleagues are filming and editing our videos too. Between us we have worked on every, single major entertainment programme on television today – if you’re watching it, we’re making it.
I want to apply the loving craft that we bring to our TV work to weddings; creating a TV style best bits for your big day. Our videos are about making you feel like you’re right in the moment – rather than just observing – capturing not not just the beautiful moments (the first looks, the ceremony, the emotional reactions to speeches) but the super fun ones too – like your Granny dancing to Rihanna or your best friends playing speech bingo.
My career has been heavily edit based which means I have a lot of experience picking out the very best bits from hours of footage – wedding videos are made or broken in the edit and our TV experience (making lots of footage really interesting) sets us apart from the rest.
Most importantly, our aim is to produce content that will be watched again and again by family and friends as well as the bride and groom – a chance for everyone attending to relive the day – set to a number of songs, mixed with speeches or messages from guests and properly celebrating everything that happened. I want our clients to be putting their money towards something that is essentially priceless – a chance to relive one of the best days of their lives – and feel like they’re there again.
We also make Marryokes, hen/stag VTs and videos for speeches for the big day for those who don’t fancy the idea of public speaking but still want to make their mark.
Ultimately if you have an idea you want to bring to life for you wedding, TV style, we’re here to help you to make it happen and can’t wait to hear what you have in mind.
