Inspiration

Amy and Heather's love of nature and travelling inspired their flower-filled wedding in the Cotswolds. With both brides wearing stunning Ronald Joyce wedding dresses to suit their personalities as well as constant smiles and a joint admiration for their wedding flowers and naked wedding cake, which exceeded all their expectations when they first saw them.

What Made Our Day Unique

The flowers! Oh, so many flowers! It was fantastic to see everything that we had planned brought to life. There were more flowers than we ever imagined and it completely transformed the venue and it felt like a secret garden. Some of our favourite walks are in the Cotswolds by the lakes so it was very special to get married in a location that we love. We also met in New Zealand in a place called Queenstown which is by the lake. This was also part of the thought process in choosing the location that we did.

Ronald Joyce

One of Amy's favourite moments was walking down the aisle through the beautiful green archway and seeing everything come to life for the first time as well as seeing her beautiful bride, Heather walking up the aisle towards her. Both ladies look truly stunning in their Ronald Joyce wedding dresses, with Amy choosing an embellished sheer back fitted gown and Heather a strapless lace dress with fishtail skirt. They complement one another beautifully, completing their looks with a just-picked wildflower wedding bouquet.

British country garden. We wanted a room full of locally grown British flowers and as much colour as possible. We didn't want to have a specific colour theme as we didn't want to limit ourselves. We both love to travel so all of the table names were places that we have been together around the world. Our favours were little succulents in terracotta pots with guest names stamped on little flags. Everything from the wedding invites to the table plan was stamped by hand, I have a degree in art so I wanted to add personal touches everywhere I could.

For us, our florist Fi completely stole the show. From the moment we met her (aside from her thinking we were friends that happened to be getting married on exactly the same day) she knew exactly what we envisaged for our wedding day. She was so much more than a florist, she became our wedding planner, our go-to, our friend. Her ideas were always on par with what we had in mind and there was nothing we put forward to her that she couldn't make possible. She had tears in her eyes on our wedding day when we both saw her before we both walked down the aisle and we genuinely felt touched to have her as such a big part of the planning process. We would recommend her to anyone and everyone!
