Inspiration

In the words of talented photographer Emma of Epic Love Story: "the style at this urban wedding is insane". It could quite easily be mistaken for a shoot the attention to detail is so on-trend. From the bride's incredible ruffle wedding dress right through to the gypsophila flower cloud arrangements and neon sign reception decor, we think you'll find joy in today’s pink wedding with an incredibly smiley couple.

What Made Our Day Unique

The most important thing for us on our wedding day was making sure that we didn't fall into the same routines of weddings and that it was personal to us. We put a huge amount of time and energy into making sure that there was no moment spared that wasn't fun and colourful. We had a quiz on the bus from the church to the venue, a bright and colourful confetti entrance, espresso martinis after dinner and a pizza van for later. The décor also reflected this perfectly and the velvet sofa, neon sign and incredible floral bannister were our favourite parts.

Ruffle Wedding Dress

Double flounces or ruffle wedding dress? However, you choose to describe real bride Nikki's Jesus Peiro Crisalida bridal gown, I bet we can both agree she looks Stella in it. Surrounded by gorgeous bridesmaids in different pink dresses, including ones from recommended suppliers, TH&TH. They complete their bridal party look by holding the most incredible bouquets full of orchids, peonies, and gypsophila.

Inspiration & Styling

The vibe was a modern/industrial vibe and the inspiration for the look and feel started with one photograph from Instagram that we just built on. The venue has brick walls and a concrete courtyard so we had accents of black and gold to add to the edge but then added pinks in the flowers, mismatched glasses and lighter colours on the table to soften it down. It was important to us that it felt unique and all of the hard work paid off.

Favourite Moments

It's really hard to pick only one moment of the day but our two favourites were coming into the venue to Tubthumping by Chumbawamba and dancing as everyone threw confetti and our entrance at dinner where the whole room stood and sang along to Dancing in the Moonlight. Music is one of our favourite things and every song we played we had chosen in advance so to see everyone laughing, singing and dancing together was just incredible. Our band The White Keys are also incredible and there wasn't a single moment where the dancefloor wasn't packed - they know how to bring the party!

If you would like music to play an important part in your celebration, we highly recommend listening to our Wedding Entertainment Podcast, where Charlotte and Becky discuss the different types available to their top dance floor fillers.
