This Italian destination wedding screams sophistication. The Wedding

Confetti a Colazione the Wedding Planner: From the very beginning, Sabrina and Jacopo’s wedding has been kind of special. The main challenge was transforming the Tuscany family farmhouse (Incisa Val d’Arno) into the perfect location to realize their country-chic dream.

Favours

Sabrina and Jacopo’s most important goal was to make every guest feeling at home, so we put attention on every single detail, such as the in room –delivered welcome boxes : every box included a Tuscany shaped cookie and small goodies: licorice (Sabrina’s preferred ones) and salty “schiacciatine” -local kind of bread - (Jacopo’s preferred ones).

Venue

Since the relevant number of guests (170) and the small sized hotel properties nearby (there was no one big hotel able to accommodate everyone), we basically populated the neighborhood for the whole weekend! Two days before the wedding date, weather seemed not be on our side (July heavy shower never forgive) In Italy there is an old tradition about bringing a fresh eggs basket to the closest cloister so nuns will pray for the new family. It’s a good wishing habit able to drive rain away and facilitate a sunny day The basket has been delivered and you won’t believe that, but nevertheless weather forecast, we haven’t even seen a rain drop ;)

Bridal

Bride’s preparation was one of the most touching moment. Held in an ancient living room which walls was speaking about history and tradition, bridesmaids stayed close to her every single moment of the preparation, feeling emotional about the personalized night gowns and bags that Sabrina’s prepared as a gift. Bridesmaids helped Sabrina until the last button was done up and leave her with Jacopo’s hands. Sabrina’s gown as well, featured by Luisa Beccaria, with its unique fabric seemed to be tailor made on Tuscany hills and my bride, romantic, but resolute at the same time.

Decor

On that warm July afternoon a small “pieve” named Pieve di S. Pietro a Pitiana welcomed us a wonderful sight of the Val d’Arno. We decided to leave it naturally decorated: Only creamy shades ribbons and olive tree leaves all around. Bride’s arrival with a vintage Falminia Pininfarina that climbed the narrow trail was enchanting within the silence of the valley. How not thinking about the family olive tree grove for couple portraits? You know: when you feel at home, memories are always sweeter. The decision about reception style was easy, nearly mandatory. The farmhouse was up on an olive trees valley; olive green had a leading role together with warm colors: creamy and blush tones A small touch of ancient gold gave the right chic atmosphere to the night gala.

Flowers

Olive tree leaves had been incorporated as placeholders and we lost in the smoothness of orange and blush tones, that made the dining table really warm and cozy. A lots of candles and suffused lights did the rest Food was a Tuscany tastes triumph (could it be otherwise?) edged from tradition with a wink to the healthy. Bride required a fresh fruit and seasonal vegetables extracts corner and self made salads: it was a success! The final key player? The wedding cake. A fantastic Italian classic millefoglie with Chantilly cream, builded up in real time by the pastry chef just in front of guest’s eyes. In 20 minutes the wedding cake was decorated with a berry fruits waterfall. An incredible freshness beyond the unique show cooking.

Party

After dinner, dance started: a 9 equipped band got the atmosphere heated with an amazing live show and DJ set. I rarely saw a so clos-knit group of guest: we danced until 5 in the morning with no break! Bride and Groom were in first line. When the party was over, every invitee came back home with a little piece of Tuscany in their heart, while the staff, even if tired, enjoyed a magic sunrise.
