Inspiration

The mood of this destination wedding was both romantic and bohemian. Soft peach & white flowers teamed with geometric lanterns and copper candelabras decorated the venue and gorgeous outdoor tablescape at Lac Cicadas Ibiza beautifully, all thanks to the planning efforts of Le Jour du Oui.. Plus have you seen the fabulous hanging macrame display showcasing all the guests escort cards, so beautiful, and SO on trend. Gorgeous bride Sarah wore a stunning Flora Bridal gown which suited her down to the ground, and her best girls looked heavenly in different lace ivory gowns. With so many fabulous pictures captured by Raquel Benito of the wedding party bringing a sense of fun to this incredible dreamy wedding.

Location

Sarah The Bride: We decided to get married in Ibiza because we have been in love with this island for a lot of years. We spent a lot of vacations and beautiful moments and we chose the island to celebrate our unique day. We chose a Catholic religious ceremony and for the reception Finca, a typical Ibiza house bringing back to life by the Tavis and Nora, owners of Las Cicadas: exposed stones, succulent plants and cactus alla round, vintage furniture and and a comfy house made us fell in love with this venue. We’d like a relaxed and rustic mood but refined and chic at the same time.

Dress

The Bride’s Dress, made by the designers of Flora Bridal with soft embroidered lace and matched with Jimmy Choo sandals; a natural hair and make up by Jessie May Young was completed with a simple floral crown of gypso and spray roses.

Groom

The Groom Suit by Monokel Berlin was dark blue and completed by precious details like golden cufflinks, a design watch and sunglasses.

Planning & Styling

We’ve been helped in coordination of vendors and for the creative wedding design by Le Jour du Oui. The colour palette was pale pink, ivory and metals like gold an copper. The matching was between elegance and a contemporary twist: the white and gold stationery reminds Aztec prints and patterns and creates a contrast with the elegance of table setting with crystal glasses, golden cutlery and candleholders, flower compositions with Dahlias, David Austen roses, Astilbe.

Florist

These flowers arranged by El Ramo de Flores were the same as the bouquet and buttonholes.

Decor

Wooden tables and chairs were provided by The Ibiza Chair Company. The macramé was another strong fil-rouge: from the dresses of the bridesmaids till the seating plan with hang up cards and macramé pots in the dancefloor area. Decorations were completed by a welcome area with lemonade and pallet sofas, different sizes geometric lanterns, a photobooth area with peacock chairs decorated with proteas and props, wooden signals and a lot of paper lanterns around the pool were the desserts have been served. For sure guests have been astonished by the tablescape that created the wow factor of the event: the aperitif took place in an upstair area and people came down from a staircase discovering the tables enlightened by fairy lights from Ibizapa company.

Photographer

The photographer Raquel Benito was a nice and discrete presence during all the wedding day: from the Church ceremony, then with a portrait session in the garden of the house and till the party.

Catering

The dinner was served by Foodit with revisited Spanish dishes like the Catalan Lobster Salad and a BBQ with Mediterranean Fresh Red Prawns, Lamb Chops, Mini beef burger and vegetables gratin.

Drinks

Amazing cocktails with antique recipes were created by Mobar staff: Italian Mojito, Negroni, Moscow Mule and other bespoke drinks delighted the guests.

Entertainment

Music was curated by our friend Felix with chill out music for the aperitif and then party music after dinner. Getting married abroad could be a kind of adventure, but it’s important to be helped in the process choosing the right vendors.
