Inspiration

This has to be one of the prettiest French destination weddings we've ever featured. Full of beautiful blue hues, rustic decor and the brides timeless Sassi Holford wedding dress. Not to mention treasured family moments where the bride's daughter joins in with the wedding ceremony by walking her mum down the aisle and conducting a hand fastening ritual.

What Made Our Day Unique

Definitely the venue - Maison de la Vaure is a former cognac estate and was the perfect size for our 60 guests. We married in a beautiful, rustic barn draped with festoon lighting before moving into the courtyard at the back for the wedding breakfast. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was; big rustic sharing platters and the most delicious wine; our floral designer, Faith created hanging garlands across the tables with hanging Edison lights, which looked stunning and really made use of the space.

Sam & Ben

Sassi Holford Wedding Dress

Real bride, Sam's strapless Sassi Holford wedding dress is timeless, just like this rustic French wedding with a beautiful blue colour scheme and fabulous lighting. They've included everything they love from Disney table names to neon signs and smoke bombs, with everything fusing together effortlessly.

Inspiration & Styling

More than anything, we wanted our guests to have a very French experience. The barn we married in was pretty rustic, and we wanted our styling to reflect this throughout, but in a super-chic way. Ajna, our stylist, was just incredible to work with. She very patiently listened to my rambling vision and somehow brought it to life in the most magical way. Ajna really sweated the small stuff - I knew we were in safe hands but what she created was just, wow.

Sam & Ben
The adorable flower girl you see walking real bride Sam down the aisle is in fact her daughter Ruby. She also took part in the ceremony binding her and Ben together with ribbons. It's lovely when you can create alternative roles for loved ones.
