Inspiration

A botanical filled wedding featuring taupe satin bridesmaid dresses and contemporary marble details. The Great Conservatory at Syon Park provides an abundance of natural light and is adorned with palm trees and exotic flowers, bringing the outdoors in for today's gorgeous couple! With sentimental and personal handmade touches throughout, guests who couldn’t be there were most definitely a big part of the day still. All beautifully captured by our recommended supplier Julia & You Photography!

What Made Our Day Unique

My auntie read a poem my grandpa wrote for my grandma called “With all my heart” which we found in the loft looking for old photos. It was such a special way of including my grandparents who couldn't be there. My Dad also wore my grandfather’s WW2 medals on his own naval uniform which looked so smart! Also, instead of entrusting the best men with the rings we gave mine to Vinnie (our page-boy) and Oli’s to Lucia (our flower-girl). We fully expected Vinnie to be uninterested / too shy (he was only 2!) but he loved it and looked so chuffed after he’d given the registrar my ring – he stole the show!

Satin Bridesmaid Dresses

The bride wore a gorgeous lace Emmy Mae dress with a low v-neck both front and back, which was beautifully framed by the taupe satin bridesmaid dresses from Ghost. The understated yet elegant dresses complemented not only the Bride’s dress but allowed the botanical filled, exotic venue do the talking, creating the perfect backdrop for the celebrations. Although, the real show-stealers were, of course, Flower Girl, Lucia in her flower crown and Vinnie their Page Boy.

Inspiration & Styling

I always wanted to get married in an orangery so we styled most of the day around it - I'd say the vibe was botanical with soft, romantic colours and hints of marble and gold. We really tried to make it one big party, from the electric string-duo playing their “chilled Ibiza” soundtrack during the drinks reception to the tower of welcome shots on arrival to the conservatory followed by our INCREDIBLE saxophonist Dan Goode - our main requirement was that everyone had fun.

"We found Julia, our photographer on your supplier directory and were so glad we did. She was absolutely fantastic. We had a planning meeting a week beforehand at her studio to discuss (amongst other things) the group shots we wanted, the general style we were looking for and timings for the day which was super helpful. We were so happy with the photos!” We love being able to help you find the suppliers you need using our handpicked supplier directory ’The List', from photographers to satin bridesmaid dresses and bridal accessories!
