Inspiration

Childhood sweethearts Sophie and Paul got married in November with the bride wearing a beautiful boho style Spell And The Gypsy bridal dress. They originally planned for a big festival style wedding in the summer of 2020, however, after 10 years of being together, they decided that they couldn't wait any longer and so instead had a very intimate wedding of just 40 guests in the same church that the bride's grandparents tied the knot. They planned the new wedding in a couple of months and did everything as a team, from the invites to the cake and the flowers making everything all the more special. Cento Uno played host to the reception which was filled with pizza making, Aperol spritz cocktails and spontaneous dance-offs. This effortlessly cool couple created their perfect day topped with emotional speeches and lots of laughter and all captured by D&J Photography!

What Made Our Day Unique

We both really wanted to have an intimate and relaxed wedding day where everyone could just enjoy themselves whilst helping us celebrate our marriage. This day was made extra special as we were surrounded by all our dearest and closest family and friends. We just wanted to eat, drink and dance so that's exactly what we did. Our day was a little unusual as we had a morning ceremony and lunchtime reception but it worked out perfectly. Getting married was most definitely the most important part for us. But the whole day was full of amazing moments from start to finish. The top highlights would definitely have to include the time we got to ourselves to take some photos between the ceremony and the reception, getting to make pizzas, eating the pizzas, delivering our speeches, our first dance and ending the day at the pub. We did have a first dance but the truth is, we didn't really stop dancing from the moment we got the restaurant. The day was everything we could have wished for.

Spell And The Gypsy

The bride wore a beautiful Spell And The Gypsy boho style dress teamed with a white floral hair crown and a statement red lip. The groom looked very dapper in a checked suit with a green satin bow tie in keeping with their colour scheme inspired by the bride's engagement ring and working perfectly with the beautiful floral bouquets which were handmade by the bride and groom.

Inspiration & Styling

It was really important to us that the day reflected us as a couple. We wanted good food, good company and lots of fun. We didn't have a formal wedding breakfast and whilst we had planned an order for the day, to help everything run smoothly, we weren't at all rigid with the timings. Our colour scheme was white, green and blue. This was mainly inspired by my engagement ring which has a diamond with a green and blue sapphire. Our advice for people planning their wedding is to take the time to figure out exactly what it is that you want as a couple for your big day. Don't feel like you have to do something just because 'it's tradition' or expected of you. If you want to invite the world and its wife then do it, if you don't, then don't. Remember that it is your day.
