Inspiration

Settings don't come much more dreamy than the Port Eliot Estate. Home of the stylish, infamous and totally unique Port Eliot Festival, and now Megan & Simon's glamorous Sperry Tent wedding too, it's a special place set deep in the heart of Cornwall. Brought together seamlessly by the wonderful Jenny Wren Weddings And Events, this chic and sophsticated wedding included references to Megan's American background and allowed her and Simon to introduce their US friends and family to Simon's home county. The weather was beautiful, truly making the most of that incredible Cornish scenery. The romantic, fine art images come from Olivia Whitbread Roberts...enjoy!

Sperry Tent For A Glamorous Wedding At Port Eliot Estate

Megan & Simon: Simon and I reside in the US. We decided to have our wedding in lovely Cornwall to be able to celebrate with all his family and friends, as well as have our amazing friends and family from the US over there to be able to see where Simon grew up! We decided to have the wedding at Port Eliot Estate. It's absolutely breath taking and the day turned out absolutely PERFECTLY thanks to Jenny Wren Wedding & Events and her FANTASTIC wedding planning. We had an elegant boho chic vibe...absolutely gorgeous but also relaxed, which was the goal. The day started off with me (the bride) getting ready in the stunning house at Port Eliot with my mom, sister and niece and friend/hairdresser Jackie. Champagne and make up...the essentials! Chloe Drew did such an amazing job with the makeup, I loved having her around to hang out with the girls as well. The ceremony was in the Orangery (music by Kaj on the ukulele and ceremony was lead by our awesome cousin Jack). I chose a long sleeved lace dress, it's exactly what I had envisioned right from the get go. Simon was in a blue tux with black trim. We had a really amazing cocktail hour by the main house at the Estate, with amazing food and great local drinks. Vince Lee (blues rock artist) really brought the good vibes — the sun was blazing and the drinks were flowing. We had our reception down by the water front with the most gorgeous backdrop I have ever seen of the bridge and water. I was stunned the entire time looking out at everything...it was like a true dream come true. The marquee was perfection thanks to Sperry Tents South West...they went out of their way to make sure the marquee could go exactly where we wanted it to.

The Best Wedding Suppliers

The decor inside or the marquee was just stunning thanks to Wedding Flowers In Cornwall - she made the greenery vision I had come to life and brought some glam into the tent as well by tying in the gold accents! It looked so fresh and beautiful. The food was on a different level...it was phenomenal. Cornwall Chef, Steve and Corina left everyone was speechless with their food and presentation. So great to work with. Every supplier was truly just MAGICAL to work with and we were so happy to have them be a part of our day. Photography was by Olivia Whitbread-Roberts Fine-Art Photography. Olivia is another true doll who we hit it off with immediately, she captured our day so beautifully. She’s so talented and a gem to work with and made us feel comfortable at all times. The band we had was truly EPIC. They are called Supatight, they came down from London and I knew they would be good, but when they started, my jaw hit the floor. Good music and good people make a party and we both had so much fun!!! At the end of the night...we enjoyed bonfires, smores, and late night Cornish pasties. Jenny Wren and her team didn’t miss a thing, completely took the stress of both of us and our families were able to enjoy the day. She made sure to be in contact with me via Skype all the way across the Atlantic to help us with EVERYTHING. She not only nailed all the things every bride would need done, she thought of so many things that were above and beyond. Because we had our wedding outdoors, we had to bring everything in. There were so many things I wouldn’t even have thought of - water for cooking was brought down, a full kitchen, generators etc...the whole works! The empty green area turned into the most stunning wedding spot I have ever seen thanks to Jenny and her team! Our table was fully stocked with champagne at all times, and she was running around the entire day to make sure everything was flawless. I cannot say enough how thrilled I am to have found Jenny. I would highly recommend her to every couple I know and she truly made our wedding day spectacular.
