This wedding had so many different elements that we LOVE from the neon sign quotes to the Stella York wedding dress! The industrial-style wedding was held in The West Mill Venue in Derbyshire with guests watching on as the couple said their vows in front of a multicoloured 'Crazy In Love' neon sign. The civil ceremony was followed by a travel-inspired reception with a map table plan. Wanting to keep things simple and let the venue itself do the talking, the couple opted for foliage table decor and white flowers. Personal touches were scattered throughout, with photograph table cards and other DIY wedding decor, this day had the couples stamp well and truly plastered all over it!
What Made Our Day Unique
Our day was all about us two – we involved few people in the planning so that each aspect reflected us as a couple and what we wanted. This also meant each part of the day was a surprise to our guests. We wanted the day to be fun and light-hearted focusing on being able to share our day with our nearest and dearest. We did lots of the work ourselves (place names, table decorations etc) so feel like it had our stamp all over it.

For the big day, the bride looked radiant in a beaded Stella York wedding dress with a delicate cap sleeve pairing it with an equally pretty hairpiece nestled in her pinned updo. The detailed dress was complemented by the blush bridesmaid dresses that also had some intricate beading, teamed with a bouquet of pale pink and white flowers - a gorgeous bridal party!Inspiration & Styling
When asked this before the wedding, the answer included industrial and foliage! The West Mill is the most stunning venue – it’s stylish, a bit different to ‘normal’ and we fell in love with it straight away. The venue inspired the styling – which was minimal. The venue is just so naturally cool and well dressed, that there was little need to add lots of detail to it. Our flowers were table runners made from different foliage – it was really key to have no colour in these, again to keep things minimal.
The West Mill is a popular industrial-chic venue in Derbyshire, with exposed brick and plenty of character.
