Inspiration

Baby it's cold outside, but we're feeling the heat at this incredibly stylish Stone barn wedding. Firstly, Jenny and Si and their whole wedding party certainly know how to dress to impress! They absolutely don forest green jumpsuits, faux fur coverups, metallic belts, tassel earrings, and dapper navy suits, and all of this is complemented beautifully with foliage, fairylights and copper pipe details. Not to mention AMAZING beer mat favours, and pub sign table names.

What Made Our Day Unique

When we got engaged one of the first things we decided on was to put our guests onto tables named after the pubs that we have spent making memories with them. It was important to us also that our ‘Happy Hour’ included a beer option (Brewdog), that the food wasn’t fussy (famous Stone Barn indoor BBQ followed by Baz & Fred pizza) and that the music (Agent Funk) created the right atmosphere. Our name cards on tables were beermats and the table names looked like swinging pub signs!

Stone Barn Wedding

Jenny and Si fell in love with Stone Barn wedding venue not only because of its jaw-dropping beauty which required very little styling but also because it included wedding planning advice and on the day coordination from the venue's fabulous team. The picturesque Cotswold location, fairy light ceiling, and incredible exposed brick ceremony room are just some of its amazing qualities which Jenny & Si complemented beautifully with foliage, candlelight and metallic copper pipping. See how other RMW brides and grooms have styled the venue by looking through our real wedding archives.

Inspiration & Styling

We got engaged in New Zealand so we wanted to incorporate that as part of the styling along with the pub theme. As our day was in early March we kept the colour palette rich, and Stone Barn is so gorgeous it doesn’t need over-styling so we opted for mostly foliage (including the amazing hoop in the ceremony barn), with lots of ferns. Jen designed the website and stationery with a mix of pub logos and ferns and the bridesmaids were all in forest green jumpsuits with rose gold belts to match Jen.

We ask every couple to provide us with some advice for future brides and grooms and Jenny advises you to "Do a speech!" So many more brides are taking to the microphone to have their say, which we absolutely love. But if the prospect fills you with nerves, listen to our How to Write a Bride Speech Podcast, to give you a little dutch courage. You got this.
