The Vibe Of Our Day
We wanted to have our wedding in or around London, as this is where we have lived for the past ten years and we knew all our German friends and family would love to come over for a weekend of celebrations in our city. Syon Park proved to be the perfect venue: close to Central London, but with the feeling of a countryside estate. We were able to hold both the ceremony and reception in the same location but still have two different venues: Syon House for the ceremony, and The Great Conservatory for our reception. The Great Conservatory, a windowed room full of lush greenery, gives the feeling of an outdoor summer wedding without having to worry about the weather. We loved dancing the night away here with the Wedding Smashers, a RMW recommended supplier who rocked the dancefloor until the end.
Quill Stationery
Stationery can really set the tone for your wedding; after all, invitations provide a first peek into your plans for the big day. I'd have been a very happy guest receiving Jasmin & Christoph's Quill Stationery suite through my letterbox. I'm a complete succour for calligraphy and adore their gorgeous gold embossed design. This was picked up in their on-the-day stationery too, with their signage (including a giant welcome board), table plan, escort cards and menus creating a sense of continuity, as well as adding to their stunning styling. Have you spied, also, the pretty personalised details? From the monogram used in the wax seals, to the details embroidered into Jasmin's dress (including an image of their pug, Paul!), there is no better time than your wedding day to jump on the typography trend.Inspiration Behind The Styling
Our loose theme was 'boho luxe botanical', based around the colours of blush, gold and grey, with lots of greenery. We hired gold cutlery, glasses and plates from Duchess & Butler, and created a lounge area with vintage furniture from Vintage Style Hire and The Prop Factory, who also provided giant light-up letters which were later moved to the dancefloor. I love flowers and knew this would make a huge difference to the overall styling of Syon Park, and gave our florist - Vic of Scarlet & Violet - a brief of elegant bohemian flowers in blush, cream and peach plus greenery. We chose Café au Lait dahlias, a variety of David Austin roses, hydrangeas, delphinium and cosmos, alongside eucalyptus and olive. I was blown away by the flowers on the day, which exceeded all my expectations.
