Wedding Decor Trends With Waterford

At the moment we’re crushing on two equally stunning but completely different styles for weddings, “Bohemian Botanical” and “Runaway Romance”, both work beautifully incorporated into your wedding breakfast table decor. We’ve teamed up with Live. Love. Toast., a gorgeous new lifestyle site from Waterford crystal, to show you how to create these two stunning wedding decor styles.

Runaway Romance

Runaway Romance is outrageously feminine and simple to replicate. We used a palette of peaches, pinks and golds with blooms displayed in mis-matched yet undeniably luxe bud vases and coloured decanters, Champagne was served in coupe glasses and the table was strewn with delicate rose petals to create a contemporay fairytale. Who doesn’t want to be a modern day Cinderella?

This look required an utterly romantic feel to it. White linens and delicate glasswear formed the base of the look.

The place settings used beautiful flowing white linen napkins and the most luxurious gold cutlery. Trailing blush ribbons and a soft white ranunculus created a pretty set up ideal for this look.

Ruby and The Wolf chose vases and vessels in varying sizes to display the utterly romantic floral displays. The Lismore vase was edged with gold detailing to continue the styling.

For a different take on vases we chose the most stunning coloured Rebel decanters to display our blooms. The soft pinks and amber of these matched the colour scheme perfectly. Plus, with one specifically labelled for Gin we are sure they could find their way to a new home long after the wedding.

A final flurry of rose petals completed the look.

A classic letter press stationery suite is ideal for this look and the delicate detailing on this menu from The Hunter Press added the perfect finishing touch.

Bohemian Botanical

Bohemian Botanical is edgy and fun yet elegant in it’s simplicity. Think an abundance of greenery, monochrome anemones and statement ferns mixed with pretty feathers and copper accents. Using delicate cut glass crystal vases to display your florals and timeless letter press paper goods creates a luxurious feel yet still retains modernity. This is the perfect choice for the relaxed easy breezy bride who still wants to retain a touch of glamour.

To create this look we started with a more muted masculine base with a gorgeous grey tablecloth. The look was then built up with beautiful crockery and glassware for a layered effect. We used the Jasper Conran Tisbury collection from Wedgwood and Waterford Elegance glasses which have a contemporary feel to them.

For place settings we created these simple but eye catching plate designs by fixing a pheasant feather and small posie of ferns and hellebores to the plate with silver washi tape. The cutlery was placed on a large fern to create a dramatic and different alternative to the traditional set up.

Florist Ruby and The Wolf created a collection of arrangements in the most gorgeous crystal bud vases in varying sizes to complete the table. Hellebores, roses and ferns sat coupled with statement pheasant feathers to create a dramatic yet delicate look. The crystal bud vases caught the light from the crystal candlesticks and when arranged as a collection like this they are a truly gorgeous display.
