Kate & Bobby

Kate and Bobby’s wedding has put a huge smile on my face, their joy is just infectious. Both are clearly head over heels for each other and it radiates from the images. The couple run a stationery design company together, Telegramme Paper Co. so naturally their wedding is wonderfully styled too.

Kate wears Phase Eight and has customised her mint green Jimmy Choos with the happiest of props – the humble pompom. For those of you thinking about avoiding flowers on your big day, for cost or allergy reasons, this is a gorgeous example of how to add colour and vibrancy in other ways. Namely balloons. Lots and lots of balloons. Images come from the lovely Joanna Bongard, who you’ll find on our recommended supplier directory, The Love Lust List.

Holly & Steve

I love seeing weddings from Trinity Buoy Wharf because the blank canvas events space is always transformed SO differently by each and every couple. Holly and Steve have added a vibrant palette of bold colours, balloons, a giant disco ball and some quirky vintage details as a nod to their 50s inspired theme. It looks fabulous – fun, fresh and definitely somewhere you’d want to party the night away.

Images come from the lovely Frances Sales, who always captures both the details and the emotions to perfection. Oh and look out for Holly’s swoonworthy Louboutins – a short dress is always a great excuse to invest in a pair of killer heels…

Jacinta & Philip

The smiles from Jacinta & Philip’s wedding day are infectious, so it’s just a joy to share with you all this morning. The international couple have travelled and worked together all over the world, but decided that Italy was the best place to host their wedding day. Their venue, The Madonnina, is surrounded by a lake and mountains and has an incredible glass house, where they held their reception, and an underground disco where they partied until the small hours…which they did in style, with a whole host of people taking it in turns to DJ, including Philip himself.

It’s lovely to see a Bride looking gorgeous in a vintage-style gown too, and Jacinta looks beautiful in her gown made by the wonderfully named ‘Fairy Goth Mother.’ There’s also a balloon release, a gorgeous red confetti moment and a scattering of brightly coloured blooms too…

A Rock And Roll Wedding.

charlotteandwill

As much as I love thrown-together-boho weddings, I’ve also got a place in my heart for a theme wedding…especially a well executed one. And I think it’s fair to say that Charlotte & Will totally nailed their 50s inspired shindig!

From the gig style posters designed by Charlotte, to the life-sized cardboard cut out of Elvis – their wedding is a proper 50s rock and roll party.

Guest were even served diner-style burgers and fries, complete with French’s mustard, followed by knickerbocker glories…I know! How amazing does that sound?

I also love the use of bright yellow flowers – perfect for bringing some sunshine to a February wedding, as do those gorgeous the butterfly print Bridesmaids dresses…

At The High School Dance.

katie&dan

This morning’s wedding is the wedding of teenage sweethearts Katie & Dan.

The sweet pair have been together since they were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and married in the village where they had their first kiss.

Isn’t that adorable?

They had such a fun wedding too, I love the vibrant blooms and the Bridesmaids look great in their postbox red prom dresses.

The 50s high school dance theme worked perfectly in the village hall and they had total control over the decor…this meant fairy lights, flowers in jam jars and bunting galore.

Having tables named after 50s icons such as Brigitte Bardot and Elvis is such a fun idea too. Are you ready? I think you’re going to like this one…

A Question To Be Answered.

katandmark

This morning’s lovely couple, Kat and Mark, married at Brighton Bandstand. I would go as far to say it looks like one of the coolest places to get married in the UK.

The bandstand itself is beautiful – it dates from 1884 and is considered to be one of the finest examples of a Victorian bandstand still surviving in England today!! With azure blue sea behind it and Brighton Pier and the town sea-front by it’s side, I don’t think it could be more quintessentially Britain-by-the-Sea.

Kat and Mark were so lucky with the weather too – glorious sunshine meant that their dream ceremony could be a reality.

Their wedding just looks like so much fun, lots of live music, lots of friends and lots of delicious food. So, without further ado, let’s enjoy Kat and Mark’s vintage Brighton themed wedding…
