I am so in love with the blooms at this wedding, they are simply breathtaking; soft peachy & pink tones complimenting the dark navy dresses of the bridesmaids perfectly, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from one of our very own member’s of The Love Lust ListThe Wilde Bunch
As much as I love the flowers I have to say I love this Bride & Groom a little bit more, you can just tell they are hopelessly in love, but also that they had an absolute blast on their wedding day; The image of Laura the Bride using Rich’s leg as a guitar is AMAZING & I know I’ll be stealing her dance moves on my next night out!
This wedding is rustic glamour at it’s best, their venue Almonry Barn is simply breathtaking and was decorated beautifully with lots of DIY goodies to inspire you.
Unless you’ve been living underneath a rock, you can’t failed to have noticed the ‘RMW Rates…’ posts that pop up on these pages every lunchtime. This is where we get to tell you lovely lot about the bestest and brightest additions to Rock My Wedding’s exclusive directory – The Love Lust List.
For those of you not ‘au fait’ with the List (seriously folks where have you been?) let me explain a little further. The Love Lust List is Rock My Wedding’s exclusive personally handpicked directory of only the best wedding suppliers in the UK and Ireland.
And we say handpicked because each and every supplier has to be vetted and approved by us – after all we want to make sure that you folks are treated to only the most amazing suppliers. Our Love Lust Listers cater for all price points but share a common factor – they all offer more than their price tag might suggest. Above everything else they ALL have the desire to rock the weddings of our readers.
And the directory has got everything covered; from the sweetest cake bakers, to glamorous boutiques, fancy florists, magic make-up artists and talented photographers and videographers and more besides.
At the beginning of this year (blimey just how fast has this year flown!) we released two new categories as a result of multiple requests from you lovely lot. You wanted, nay you demanded, that we have a Love Lust List ‘For The Boys’ sub-genre, more on that another time, as well as a ‘Venues’ category; and so we gracefully complied.
It was a difficult decision though. Because even if hear bucketloads of praise for a particular hotel, country mansion or rustic dry-hire barn we feel we are not really able to pass this recommendation on unless we’ve seen it, experienced it and loved it for ourselves.
I know I speak for myself and Charlotte when I say that our venue was one of the most important decisions that we made relating to our respective big days. After all the venue is more often than not the most significant expenditure of the wedding budget, not to mention the impact that its ambience, service and in-house team will have on your guests and your overall enjoyment of your day.
And we know that you lovelies will feel the same about your venue too. So you can rest assured that every gorgeous venue that’s featured in The Love Lust List has been visited, experienced and tried and tested in some shape or form by us.
So we couldn’t resist sharing some of our new venue recommendations with you this sunny afternoon. All of the venues featured in this post can be found in our Love Lust List. All you need to do is to select the respective UK region that you’re hoping to marry your beau in and click ‘venues’ and you’re away.
The Gallivant is an exclusive use venue found in our South East region complete with eighteen gorgeous bedrooms for your friends and family to stay in, including a delicious bridal suite containing a bed that is according to the Blog Queen ‘so big you may actually lose each other’.
Perhaps you’re an urbanite bride. Let us introduce you then to the edgy, city vibe of The Old Library and the soaring ceilings and architectural delights of Fazeley Studios (where we hosted our Pretty Naughty event) in our West Midlands region. RMW love the fun-loving events team here!
I know I’m more than a little biased when I say that Iscoyd Park situated in the North West is my favourite venue of the lot. Headed up by Phil Godsall (possibly one of the nicest people I’ve had the pleasure to meet) and a super friendly and efficient events team, nothing is too much trouble. A home away from home, this super-luxe country house has it all…history, beautiful surroundings and super chic interiors.
The sumptuous grounds of The Rectory are perfect for a game of croquet or watching the sun go down. This venue is the epitome of English countryside elegance and the wood paneled dining room is a dream.
I speak from experience when I say that you can’t beat the contemporary luxe decor of Cowley Manor nestled in the heart of the Cotswolds. There’s oodles of room for your nearest and dearest should they want to stay and the old swing in the grounds just begs for some exquisite portrait shots.
Maunsel House is perfect for those brides who can’t resist a dash of English eccentricity. In fact the venue seems to be a real hit with lots of you whenever it appears on the blog and they have fantastic interior and exterior dining options for your wedding breakfast. Why not check them out…
Perhaps you’re after rustic chic, well let me introduce you to Almonry Barn in our South West region which possesses charm by the bucketload and an ancient church in the grounds. What more can a girl ask for?
If you’re looking for inspiration and recommendations for wedding day venues or in fact any wedding day suppliers then why not check out the Love Lust List. Team RMW will be slowly but surely adding to the directory over the next few months. We’ll be hunting high and low for the best venues (and experiencing what they have to offer too) to suit all wedding budgets and individual tastes but with the guarantee they’ll make your wedding day rock!
So how many of you are still looking for the holy grail of venues, you know…‘the one’?
Perhaps you’ve already found the place where you’ll be married. Just how many did you look round before you fell in love?
And let me ask you a question, what key attributes must a venue possess for it to make the cut? Does it need to be exclusively yours or is it all about the late license? Perhaps like me it’s a combination of beautiful architecture, lush surroundings, a wonderful in-house team and a whole heap of history.
Check Almonry Barn out and remember if you are looking for vendors and suppliers with the RMW seal of approval, the Love Lust List is only one click away via the ‘Find A Supplier’ tab in the header section.
Almonry Barn is a stunning new wedding venue in the heart of the Somerset Levels. The barn offers a great mix of old and new – perfect for any style conscious couple who still desire that traditional country barn but with a unique and pretty twist. We can comfortably seat 100 guests and have separate areas for the bar and civil ceremonies.
