Spring is here, and with it, it brings the smiliest, most loveliest couple Helen & Rob, and their classic pub wedding in the city. Absolutely busting with bright blooms from floral genius Joanne Truby Flowers, including season favourites peonies and ranunculus.
Capturing all the sunny sweetness is the lovely Ann-Kathrin Koch who certainly put this couple at ease and brought out the best in them, as well as capturing all the pretty for you to swoon over and pin.
Hi everyone, I don’t get the opportunity to write much on these pages anymore so if you don’t know who I am please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Adam Crohill and I am co-owner and Creative Director here at Rock My Wedding. Today’s wedding is rather special for me because, well… It’s my wedding.
Lizzie and I married at Elmore Court in the Cotswolds in September 2016. We had an outdoor ceremony, Lizzie wore an Anna Campbell wedding gown and I wore a suit by Cad & The Dandy But enough about me, I’m going to place you in the capable hands of my wife…
Carolin and Abelardo live in Mexico and although the beauty of the white beaches and blue ocean was calling them they decided they wanted to have a chic country wedding at Gut Bliestorf in North Germany where Carolin is from.
First they had an intimate ceremony under a beautiful oak tree in the garden with their close family present, followed by a big church ceremony and reception the following day.
This outdoor humanist ceremony is fun in every way. I have never in all my days seen a gumball food conveyor belt. It is certainly an innovative way to serve the wedding breakfast, plus it looks absolutely amazing and decorative too.
Now we have to talk about Bride Rose and her fabulous red Valentino gown. What a stunner and did you see her bridal up do adorned with faux white flowers. All carefully created by Love Lust List member Make-up by Jodie.
“After dinner Ann our photographer bundled us into her car and off we went to climb a mountain. The brief minutes my husband and I had atop the Cairn O’Mount I will always treasure as a time to soak it all in, reflect on what we had committed to each other and what a wonderful day we’d had. If time allows then go on and sneak away for a few precious moments”
I couldn’t have said it better myself – Victoria and Mark have the most beautiful misty mountain portraits, not to mention the most amazing blooms known to man, a stunning castle setting and more love and laughter than you can shake a kilt at. This is a proper Scottish wedding with an abundance of style and sass – also, the bride had not one but TWO stunning gowns!
This morning we’re sharing a welsh speaking ceremony followed by a rustic homespun reception in Snowdonia and it is out of this world beautiful. Not only did bride Anwen have TWO stunning bridal gowns (because if you could you would wouldn’t you?) but her entire wedding party were super super stylish with a unique dash of floral liberty print whimsy.
The flowers are the perfect mix of feminine and perfectly “un-done”, all pastel hues and just-picked pretty. The portraits are exquisite, I couldn’t decide which ones to pick for the gallery so basically added them all. Besides, you can never have too many angles of such a gorgeous flower crown and ridiculously happy so-in-love faces.
Notley Abbey is where my husband and I were married so it will therefore always have a special place in my heart. I may be biased but there are very few venues that compare (and I’ve seen a fair few in my time) in terms of creating the perfect elegant backdrop to a beautiful wedding.
Today’s romantic affair is no exception, Cleo looks absolutely breathtaking in her Suzanne Neville “Captivating” gown and groom Ryan is equally as well-dressed in a perfectly tailored Hugo Boss suit.
The flowers are dreamy, spring blooms are some of my favourites, especially sweetpeas – so feminine and delicate. And if there is an abundance of cherry blossom in your outside space then you should most definitely take every opportunity to have some portraits taken, this pair look like something out of a fairytale.
You can view Notley Abbey and other gorgeous venues on our hand picked supplier directory The Love Lust List.
Jill and Russell came very close to being outshone by a friend of the four-legged variety on their big day at Coos Cathedral up in Scotland. Yes folks we’re talking about Brucedog; the cutest bow-tied daschund I ever did see. Honestly you’re going to love him!
I say ‘close’ because both Russell and Jill have serious star quality of their own going on and their exquisite geometric inspired wedding decor isn’t half bad either! I particularly love the florals in this ‘I Do’ or perhaps I should say foliage since Jill opted for oodles of botanics when it came to her wedding flowers. From her craspedia, succulent and poppy head bouquet to the chestnuts, moss and acorns spread liberally on the reception tables this is a bride who knows exactly what she wants and implements it. And by jove it blinking well works!
The same can be said of the garlanded balloons that sweep along the length and breadth of their awesome wedding venue too; a movement that flows throughout the day right down to the ceilidh hosted at the end of the night.
The uber talented Ann Kathrin Koch captured this wonderful big day and as usual her portrait shots are full of love and wonder and all that gorgeous Autumnal light.
So how are you enjoying International Week so far? Uh huh…thought so! It’s pretty darn epic right? So many details and ideas to absorb and utilise regardless of where in the world you’re saying ‘I Do’.
Following on from the beautiful Australian wedding that Adam blogged this morning, we’re now heading over to Singapore for a big day photographed by the genius that is Ann-Kathrin Koch.
Ann and I have been sitting on this wedding for a little while in anticipation of ‘International Week’ and I’ve been beside myself with excitement waiting to share it with you because honestly it is so MUCH fun!
Thibaut and Wanlyn are truly an international couple but I particularly love Wanlyn’s decision to pay homage to the traditions of her family background in the Chinese tea ceremony (definitely one of my favourite parts of their big day) and in the gate-crashing event which I won’t divulge any more about right now…I’ll leave the images to tell the story instead.
Sit back, relax and thoroughly enjoy this beautiful adventure….
