Vivienne & James

We had the pleasure of meeting gorgeous bride Vivienne in London for a work meeting at the beginning of the year. Viv’s excitement about her wedding day was infectious, so it’s really lovely to be able to share her and James’ beautiful day with you all. The couple have created a truly elegant occasion, from the florals to the fashion, every element is truly timeless. Viv wears Ronald Joyce and quite rightly states that there aren’t many times in life where you can wear a silk ballgown…so you may as well make the most of it! And we’re so glad she did, Viv looks incredible.

And for such a stylish, classic wedding, an elegant photographer was needed – step in Anneli Marinovich, whose style reflects Viv and James’ big day to perfection. And make sure you watch the film from Cupcake Videos – it really brings the day to life. Congratulations lovely Viv, and thank you for sharing your day with us.

Lucy & Dom

Tell me you haven’t taken a second glance at bride Lucy and thought she resembles Kate Middleton. Even her composure is Kate-esque, and doesn’t she look a vision in her JLM Couture Ti Adora gown. The three quarter sleeves, beaded belt and lace underlay skirt is so elegant and suits her down to the ground.

The rest of the celebrations are just as timeless and traditional, starting with a Catholic ceremony at Sacred Heart church in Wimbledon, conducted by the same priest who married groom Dom’s parents. Que a short journey to the reception in a white Figaro vintage car for an adorable après-ski themed reception at Cuddington Golf Club, with alpine evergreen lining the beams and little wooden skis in the flower arrangements. Plus how can I forget the floral initials framing the couple on the top table, such a gorgeous idea.

Matt Penberthy Photography was definitely the best person to capture this glorious wedding, taking the couple off for some truly breathtaking golden hour portraits, as well as all those delicious details for you to pore over and pin.

Ruth & Matt

I do love a wedding where music plays a big part in the day. Ruth and Matt had lots of music inspired details, as well as lots of actual music, which made their day really special and personal to them. It makes total sense when you realise that Groom Matt is a musician himself. As far as I’m concerned, music is the BEST way to set the mood. Everyone looks like they are having a marvellous time, just enjoying the party atmosphere. In fact, things got so wild that the double bass player ended up at the top of one of the marquee poles – I’d love to know how/why that came about?!

Ruth looks gorgeous in one of my favourite designers, Laure De Sagazan and it’s so lovely to see Bridesmaids rocking green floral numbers – I love the subtle vintage vibes, it works perfectly with music theme – even though both came about by accident. I’ll let Ruth tell you all about it…

Gina & Paul

I always love featuring weddings from Gary aka Marshal Gray, because his work shows you that there’s absolutely no reason why you have to opt for more traditional wedding photography. There are SO many photographers out there now, with such distinctive and unique styles, we’d really recommend doing your homework so that you find one you really love. Gary’s work really makes you look at a wedding differently, moments that would normally pass you by are exposed and there’s always a huge sense of emotion behind each image.

Gina and Paul’s big day at Eshott Hall is a pleasure to look at, you really feel as if you are there, laughing and crying along with all of the guests. I always think that really good wedding photography should also make you fall for the Bride, and Gina really steals the show in Claire Pettibone in all of Gary’s images.

Lucy & Ed

Lucy and Ed are from the North and South so wanted to incorporate both their heritages with a laid back rustic vibe to pay homage to the North and super luxe, glamorous details to represent the South, and the results are absolutely stunning.

The deep berry blooms mixed with coloured glass goblets & gold platters make for one AMAZING tablescape. All housed in a clear sided PapaKåta sperry tent so guests can enjoy panoramic views of The Yorkshire Dales.

I’m a huge fan of Lucy’s 1920s Charlie Brear gown too; I would not be able to stand still with all those tassels crying out to be shimmied. Perfectly accessorised with Art Deco inspired Miu Miu shoes. What a bridal outfit, and what a stunning Bride.

Enjoy all the atmosphere and every detail with stunning images from Hayley Baxter Photography, a fabulous video from A Piece of The Party including live music from Warble Entertainment who are all members of our recommended supplier list The List.

Lisa & Ash

Whenever we receive images from a wedding where the Bride is a wedding industry supplier, we get really excited. Not because they have better weddings than everyone else, (we know, you lot knock it out of the park on a daily basis) but because when it’s their own big day, suppliers can unleash their creativity in a totally free and authentic way. Lovely Bride Lisa is the florist behind Miss Victoria’s Floral Emporium (whose bouquet skills we lusted over in this real wedding) so it’s a real treat to share her and Ash’s day with you all.

And it’s filled to the brim with gorgeous details, quirky ways to entertain guests, a fabulous relaxed pub venue, and of course, loads of stunning flowers. Oh and look out for the most epic piece of Bridal jewellery we’ve ever seen…

Jessica & Kelvin

I love featuring Australian weddings because the decor is always on point, the fashion is always fabulous and the vibe of the day is always completely chilled. The only draw back is if you fall for the photographers style and then realise that you’d have to fly them across the world to capture your big day. Well – worry not, as the super talented photographers who sent us Jessica & Kelvin’s outdoor wedding are relocating to the UK in just a matter of weeks and are available for dates THIS SUMMER!!! Through The Woods We Ran have the gorgeous, relaxed and natural style that we love (the wedding party and couple shots are particularly stunning here) and we can’t wait for them to bring their style to the British wedding industry.

If you’re currently planning a wedding on a very short time frame, give Through The Woods We Ran a shout, as it’s not often that amazing photographers like this have summer availability for the current year. And enjoy this wedding lovely ones, it’s full of gorgeous details, Australian sunshine and happy, happy people.

Sam & Tom

Oh my days. I mean would you just take a moment to look at that glorious image of Sam and her girls at the top in the slider there. Don’t they look amazing with their oversized bouquets and perfectly peach frocks. Utterly dreamy.

It doesn’t stop there either. There is the cutest flower girl complete with floral crown, a rustic bicycle made for two complete with basket of blooms and all kinds of portrait gorgeousness outside a greenhouse. I’m in heaven looking at the images.

Sam’s Charlie Brear frock looks as if it was made especially for her and I love the family history that is entwined with the duo’s choice of venue. I won’t reveal too much here and let Sam tell you about it herself; suffice to say though that it is so sweet.

Suzy & Scott

This dreamy wedding is undoubtably all about the love, all about sentiment and all about the oh so gorgeous Suzy & Scott.

They were married at the local registry office and then set home for afternoon tea, cake and prayers in Suzy’s parents garden. Suzy was an absolute whizz in the kitchen and made most of the delicious cakes herself. She also put her hand to a bit of sowing, and crafted the fabulous bunting hanging in their ‘shabby chic’ marquee out of vintage doilies and antique lace.

Samie Lee has captured some truly romantic portraits, that I couldn’t help but ooh & ahh my way through. This couple are so evidently in love and at ease with one another and their location. Choosing a field and swing Suzy used to play in as a child as their backdrop…I know super cute right.

As well as being utterly adorable this couple also look truly divine in their attire. A stunning Maggie Sottero gown for Suzy and a dapper high street suit for Scott.

Definitely one to swell the heart on a Friday afternoon.
