If you’ve been contemplating having a socially distanced wedding, but aren’t quite sure if you want to wait or just go for it?! Then this Deer Park Country House wedding in Devon, planned and styled by Fern Godfrey Weddings and photographed by Emma Pilkington Photography is not only the epitome of elegance but truly shows you how amazing your day can be. It features all the wonderful wedding day moments and details you’d expect from a pre-COVID wedding. Including an outdoor ceremony, candlelit reception, cutting the cake and first dance. And what’s more, bride and groom, Shanice and Stephen look incredible in their black-tie wedding outfits. What a wedding and what an inspiration.
I’ve been guilty of singing 70s disco anthem D.I.S.C.O whilst putting this inspiration together for you today. It’s such a fabulous era to take inspiration from, with iconic fashion, makeup and colour scheme. All of these symbolic attributes have been accredited beautifully by Kerri at Off Duty Weddings, including floral jumpsuits, sequin dresses and glitter balls. There are even roller skates! And, what could be more representative of the era than warm autumnal hues.
Don’t be fooled, these aren’t photos from the latest Disney film release, it’s just a magical wedding at Forde Abbey in Dorset. The whimsical wedding included velvet bridesmaid dresses and wildflower bouquets. The leading lady looked beautiful with her stunning red hair braided with an embellished hairpiece and a blush bride dress, designed and created just for her by Joanne Fleming. The embroidered burgundy flowers running up Loreen’s tulle dress matched the groom’s deep red wedding suit for the September wedding. Surrounded by their family and friends who had travelled from all over to celebrate the special day. The tones of blush, oranges, red and greens used throughout the day reflected the seasonal changes of the time of year and it couldn’t have been prettier!

Everything about Emma & Matt’s wedding day is super gorgeous and styled with plenty of personal touches, from Emma’s beautiful Phase Eight wedding dress to their Monopoly inspired table plan and the vodka jelly shots reception. The Old Finsbury Town Hall played host to their celebrations, such a stunning London wedding venue and after its recent renovation, it radiates glamour with its vintage decor all styled beautifully with simple greenery and foliage. The whole day looks like such a blast and all captured perfectly by Sophie Lake.
