Botanical Headpieces For Brides From Martina Dorta

If you’re looking for a statement headpiece or crown for your wedding day, then I don’t think you’ll find anything more beautiful than these pieces from Martina Dorta. I’ve been completely blown away by the detail, how they manage to be so delicate and yet so striking and just how perfectly they compliment the gowns from Marco & Maria.

The ‘dream of a flower’ collection is enchanting and I have a feeling RMW brides are going to adore these pieces…let us know what you think!

Hidden Flowers

Floral installations have dominated weddings this year, and it feels like this is a trend that’s going nowhere. As far as I’m concerned, the wilder the better when it comes to these things, just like the organic feeling displays in this afternoon’s inspiration shoot. It looks as if the plants and flowers are growing directly through the walls and floor of the softly crumbling building, meaning the result is a timeworn yet timeless beauty. If you’re looking to achieve something similar for your own big day, choose a florist who loves to work with installations and isn’t afraid to transform a blank space into something completely different. We have lots of brilliant florists on our handpicked supplier directory, The List, if you’re still searching for the right one.

Botanical Gifts For Plant Lovers

The start of spring always inspires us to get outside in the garden, or bring some greenery into our homes. So with spring well and truly here, today we’re sharing some of our favourite botanical inspired pieces from The Wedding Shop. When compiling your gift list, it’s always a good idea to look to the seasons to see what home and lifestyle pieces you’ll need in your new lives together and the spring is such a fun season to draw inspiration from. Vibrant colours, new beginnings, sunshine and warmth…what’s not to love?

Laura & Chris by Siobhan Amy Photography & Film Pin Image

Laura & Chris

In true British style, Laura & Chris didn’t let rain put a damper on proceedings – they just gave everyone a jolly yellow brolly and they all got on with it. They held their ceremony outside in the gorgeous grounds at Hatch House, guests sat in deckchairs and then drank whisky cocktails from pineapples. It all sounds rather fabulous doesn’t it?! I’ve not even mentioned the dried flower details, embellished bridesmaids dresses and whimsical daisy flower crowns…

Luckily Siobhan Amy was there to capture all of the magic for Laura & Chris to cherish and for us to share with you today.

Steffi & Rob by The Hendrys Photography Pin Image

Steffi & Rob

Glasshouse weddings are right at the top of my list of favourite things at the moment – this stunner from The Secret Herb Garden in Edinburgh is just so pretty and so full of emotion, it has genuinely made my day putting it together. And I’ll be totally honest, I *may* have cried while looking at some of the images from The Hendrys. They have truly captured the magical atmosphere and the energy radiating from the photographs feels electric.

As you’d expect this is a wedding just brimming with plants, foliage and gorgeous blooms so you’ll probably need to have your Pinterest account ready…just saying. Gorgeous bride Steffi totally would, she’s a girl after my own heart with Pinterest boards created before she even had a ring on her finger. Well I’m pleased to report that her wedding day more than lived up to expectations, it’s absolutely stunning and clearly just so full of love.

Miami Botanical Vibes

Life Through A Lens

Life Through A Lens

This afternoon we’re escaping with some botanical vibes from the lovely Vintage House That Could. I always love Katie’s styling – as well as being visually striking, it’s so homely, inviting and inclusive, which sometimes wedding styling can lack. You want your guests to feel as if they can sit down and actually use their cutlery 😉

The stunning blooms are making me long for spring and Autumn has only just really begun! Uh oh. I’m off to bury my head in this shoot and pretend the days aren’t dark and cold. It’s all pineapples, pink and peonies…

Macrame Pin Image

Macrame & Feathers For A Boho Wedding

This gorgeous wedding inspiration shoot combines many of the styling elements we’ve loved this year – botanicals, feathers and macrame. Perfect for the boho bride who wants to create a cosy and inviting space that’s still stylish. By keeping the colour palette to greens, blues and whites, the tablescape and dessert table look polished.

I’m also loving the tousled hair styles, with a floral crown for one look and feathers for the other! So pretty and such a great way to bring bohemian vibes to your own look.

Bright & Beautiful Pin Image

Bright & Botanical

Let’s add a splash of colour to proceedings shall we? So often with real weddings we tend to chose a softer or more neutral palette but sometimes it’s nice to play with brighter shades. That’s certainly what the team behind today’s stunning inspiration shoot did and the result is just lovely. The wooden furniture from All Things Borrowed is making me swoon too – there’s nothing I love more than a lovely aged wooden table with mismatched chairs. Have a look at their website when you’ve enjoyed this shoot, you’ll want to hire ALL THE THINGS. Are you having a bright and beautiful wedding day? We’d love to hear all about it.

Botanical Beauty

I absolutely love the gorgeous glasshouses you find in botanical gardens, so it’s always a treat to share a shoot from one of these very places. Todays flower filled inspiration also has some seriously stylish bridal wear and stunning beauty looks too. I have proper hair envy right now, those luscious curls!!!

Images come from Sarah Folega and I love the way the shoot feels fun and contemporary as well as elegant and bridal. Oh, and that bouquet by Paeony Floral Design is just beautiful. The more you look at it, the more you discover…
