Gorgeous New Shades For Bridesmaids From Rewritten

As soon as we discovered Bridesmaids dress brand, Rewritten, we knew that they would make waves in the wedding industry. Fran and Katie are stylish, lovely and talented in equal measures and their offering is something completely fresh to the world of Bridesmaids dresses. The Rewritten collection contains six signature styles (think clean, simple silhouettes) in an edit of the most gorgeous, current shades.

Today we’re really excited to be sharing the most recent colours to join the collection – Oyster, a soft pinky purple shade with the most beautiful pearly sheen, and Marine, a minty green with a tiny hint of tropical blue.

RMW Real Bride Diary {Emma & Dean: Bridesmaids}

Happy Sunday lovelies!

Today’s post is dedicated to our best girls, but with that vague brief in mind I didn’t just want to talk about pretty dresses…

For some, choosing your bridesmaids might have been a done deal from the minute you got a ring on your finger, but I don’t think I am on my own in finding selecting my beautiful maids one of the toughest wedding decisions of all.

There are more than ten lovely ladies in this world that I would genuinely call a best friend. Some may call it greedy; I just say I’m blooming lucky to have so many fabulous creatures in my life. And that’s before I even get to family, which is really important to me too.

Rewritten Bridesmaids

It’s not often that an amazing brand for Bridesmaids pops into our inboxes and stops us in our tracks. But that’s exactly what the new collection from Rewritten did. The dresses are simply gorgeous FULL STOP, with no ‘for Bridesmaids dresses’ caveat…

I’d wear every style in every colour. I guess that’s what happens when the people behind the brand have serious fashion kudos.

High-Street Bridesmaids Dresses {Our Online Edit}

Bridesmaids dress shopping. It can make or break lifelong friendships and there is just SO much choice available, which is a wonderful thing, but it can be pretty overwhelming! Our advice would be not to have a specific style of dress, or even colour, in your mind – know roughly what styles and colours will fit with the rest of your wedding choices and just have fun shopping with your friends. And if you find something while browsing online and fall in love, BUY it – so many of our Brides tell us they randomly found their Bridesmaids dresses this way!

Our high street Bridesmaids dress edit focusses on three key trends which are stylish, simple and universally flattering – maids in pale tones, maids in darker shades and maids in metallics, but if anyone is looking for something a little brighter, just let me know and I’ll try to help – I’ve spent A LOT of time looking at dresses to put this post together 😉

The only worry with putting your girls in high street dresses is that one of your guests will be wearing the same dress (ekkk!) so head over to our lifestyle blog Rock My Style to join the discussion on wedding guest wear etiquette, including whether guests should be allowed to wear white or not…and finally before we crack on with looking at gorgeous dresses, if any of your girls will be pregnant or breastfeeding for your big day, head over to our parenting blog Rock My Family for some great maternity and nursing wedding fashion.

Right, let’s start shopping…

Bridesmaids Dresses by Caroline Campion

Susannah Blatchford

Susannah Blatchford

It’s such a treat to share these dresses with you all today – firstly because they are simply gorgeous and the whole shoot is a dream. Secondly, because designer Caroline Campion is just lovely. And thirdly, because we’re loving the NZ vibe at the moment following the All Blacks win at the Rugby World Cup…yes, we’re big rugby fans. And it has nothing to do with Dan Carter. Nothing at all. (Ok, ok, maybe it does a little bit)…

We first featured one of Caroline’s Bridal designs a little while ago – the stunning Jeanette wore a bespoke design for her big day and couldn’t speak more highly of Caroline.

So we were very excited to hear that Caroline’s bridesmaids range (and soon her Bridal range too) are available for delivery in the UK and Europe. We’re in love with the muted colours and the lightweight silk material just looks so luxurious. The other genius thing about the designs is that they are separates, so can be styled and worn in numerous ways following the big day – making them such a treat for your best girls. Pretty please can you lovely RMW readers order some dresses from Caroline? I’d just love to see them on the blog for a real wedding!! I’m hoping you’ll all fall for them as much as I have…
