Cora & Rob

Cora and Rob were one of the last couples to get married at Brixton East, which is fabulous for them, as it’s such a wonderful, versatile, warehouse inspired space (of which we don’t have many in the UK) and sad for us – as the venue currently isn’t open.

If you’re after a wedding with a similar relaxed vibe, that is all about the food and drink, then try giving their event planner, Chris Adnitt a call. With Cora and Rob’s brief, he’s created a day that was all about the fun, making the most of that gorgeous space.

Look out for one of my favourite ever bridal fashion combinations – a pair of red Faber Novella shoes and a gorgeous bespoke minimalist wedding dress by Bon Bride…Cora looks divine, don’t you agree?

Vicky & Fraser

We’ve long been a fan of a cheese tower as an alternative to a traditional wedding cake, especially when they’re as beautiful as todays masterpiece. It’s fits in beautifully with the industrial Brixton East wedding venue and compliments the colour scheme of this city wedding to perfection with its herb, grape and fig decor.

Vicky and Fraser’s contemporary style shines through in their fashion choices too. Whilst the Bridesmaids don Jumpsuits from Zara, bride Vicky opts for a gorgeous figure hugging gown from Belle & Bunty. The captured of her (and her girls) by Joanna Bongard Phography outside the pink door is literally bridal perfection.

With bags more personality and fairy lights to swoon over, you’ll be hard pressed not to be bowled over by this adorable couple and their wedding.

Ashley & Paul

In a world of ostentatious wedding design and endless imagery, we like to think RMW is a breath of fresh air. We feature weddings that are completely true to each couple, reflecting their tastes and personalities, rather than conforming to what a wedding ‘should’ look like. Ashley and Paul’s big day does this in spades and then some. They took a very relaxed approach to planning and let their suppliers have lots of creative control, Ashley sums up the result perfectly –

In the end, something we didn’t have full control over became fully perfect to us. It’s all verging rather close to some kind of moral or life lesson: that maybe the best weddings, and relationships, happen when you let go of total control, trust the people around you, and make room for a little bit of alchemy.

Enjoy this one beauties, and please savour every last word from Ashley, she writes with such flair and ease, it’s a joy to read her and Paul’s wedding report…

Amy & Ollie

Gorgeous bride Amy purchased her dress at one of the infamous Halfpenny London sample sales. Held at the boutique just a few times a year, it’s a fabulous way of snapping up one of Kate’s gorgeous gowns for a lower price. Keep an eye on the Halfpenny social media channels if you want to be kept in the loop.

As expected from such a savvy Bride, this wedding is gorgeous, showcasing some of our favourite London venues and filled with the kind of decor you can recreate yourselves – glitter dipped vases, tea lights and simple foliage with roses. Planned to perfection by Louise Perry and with images from Ellie Gillard, let’s take a look and just soak up the pretty shall we?

Gemma & Rich

The styling of Gemma & Rich’s big day is so original, refreshing and fun, I just know you’re all going to love it. It can be really hard to find ideas that haven’t been used lots and lots before in weddings – such is the double edged sword of wedding blogs 😉 but Gemma and Rich have created an atmosphere that is unique, stylish and inviting all at the same time. The Autumnal colours are just gorgeous and given that the UK is currently rather dreary, it actually feels pretty apt to warm the cockles with this cosy wedding day. The lovely images come from We Heart Pictures whose natural, relaxed style blends so beautifully with this intimate London wedding day.

Sophie & Naz

Sophie and Naz’s stylish and fun London wedding is just a dream. I’m in love with every element, from the flowers (by BloomingGayles) to the fashion (everyone looks SO dapper) to the stunning photography by Through The Woods We Ran. Lauren and Glenn are the perfect photographers if the thought of traditional wedding photography makes you come out in hives. They are subtle, thoughtful and will produce knockout images for your album. Just look at the selection below…

I also think every wedding should have a neon sign from Bag & Bones – the photo opportunities are endless. Enjoy this one lovely people, I’ve included a bumper load of images (seriously couldn’t narrow them down) and Sophie’s write up is fabulous too.

Hollie & Luke

Get prepared to views some seriously cool squad girl pictures captured by Ellie Gillard of Bride Hollie & her bridesmaids strutting their stuff around the urban streets, hopping on buses & applying lippy. I want to join them now, especially if it means I get to don a flower crown as fabulous as theirs.

I’d also like to hang out at Brixton East. Such a cool urban warehouse venue and the fact that it’s filled with Smeg’s, sequins and glitter makes it even more appealing.

SO much love for this fun winter wedding. Pinning fingers at the ready… you know what to do.

Kathryn & Iain

If you like your weddings laid back, full of fun details and in the heart of London town, then you’re going to LOVE Kathryn & Iain’s big day. The couple held their ceremony & reception at seriously cool venue Brixton East (I’ve been there and can verify that it is awesome)…exposed bricks, white walls, open space, a truly industrial venue – but warm and welcoming at the same time, perfect for a wedding that wants to be a proper party.

Katrina, their photographer and one of our lovely sponsors, has captured every quirky detail, every heartfelt emotion and has even captured the fact that our lovely couple have exactly the same colour hair!?

This wedding also contains the BEST cake topper I think I’ve ever seen…
