Elopements: How To Elope In The UK

We have been sent lots of incredible elopements recently to share with you and it’s spurred us on to dedicate a post to elopements; how you can have one, what does it even mean and it’s an opportunity for us to re share some of our all time favourite eloping couples. As well as elopements we thought it was a good opportunity to touch on smaller gatherings in general especially as that is now becoming a consideration for lots of planning couples what with the ongoing government restrictions put in place because of COVID-19. We have enlisted the help of elopement enthusiast Emily Black Photography to answer your questions. You can find out more about Emily here on our recommended directory. Thanks so much for all your insights Emily.

Anna & Ben

Anna and Ben’s intimate, stylish London wedding is just the slice of cool we need for a Wednesday morning. The creative pair held their big day on a modest budget, but with some savvy venue hunting and one VERY generous bridesmaid, the pair pulled of the wedding of their dreams, which is what it’s all about. Your dreams, your day, your way.

I’m pretty sure you’re going to love the succulent filled bouquets, Anna’s cohesive design work which ties every element of the big day together beautiful, and the Krispy Kreme tower which seem to be having a bit of a come back at the moment. Donuts are the new cupcakes…again…

Images come from the wonderful Fern Edwards whose style matches the chilled vibe of Anna & Ben’s day to an absolute tee. Enjoy lovely ones and anyone who is searching for a London venue with a low minimum spend – then do check out The Refinery.

Kirsty and David held their rustic Autumnal dream of a wedding at the amazing Barmbyfield Barns, with gorgeous exposed brick, rough white washed walls and enough wooden beams to hang a plethora of fairy lights from, it has the perfect blank canvas for the kind of vibe they wanted to create. Their engagement story is super cute, so make sure you read that, along with Kirsty’s account of how they planned their big day. When you’re doing everything yourselves, there is a lot to consider and her words of wisdom are very helpful.
