Heathcliff fans: rejoice! This sensational Scottish wedding has more than a hint of Wuthering Heights to it, with low-level lighting in the form of a fabulous festoon light canopy, foliage features reflecting the rugged rural coastline outside – and lashing wind and rain, which did not dampen Clare & Steven’s spirits, but in fact makes for the most mesmerising and magical couple’s portraits. Honestly, they’re spectacular. Add in a delicious drippy wedding cake, perspex signs, a tree-lined aisle and the groom in his family’s tartan kilt for a truly romantic treat. Ready, set, swoon.
The exclusive use of Plas Gwynfryn in Snowdonia National Park, North Wales sets the scene for this deliciously layered boho wedding. Carla Blain’s signature dark and moody, tonal teasing delights are well suited to the natural boho vibes of this special day…complete with a photo shoot on the very beach the proposal was made!
Carla Blain Photography from RMW The List; “I live for windy adventures, gritty textures, and devilishly romantic love stories.”
From the beginning, with stationery from Fig + Fern, another RMW The List member, to the face painting photobooth and jazz musicians at the end, the day was a glittery feast for the couple and their guests.
When you are blessed with beautiful light and the incredible surroundings of Hever Castle to have your dream pre-raphaelite mood wedding, the results are mind-blowing.
Add the talents of Carla Balin Photography and a couture wedding dress of dreams full of exquisite flower applique detail and you have a gorgeous wedding to sink into on this chilly Monday morning.
The lovely Leila and David had a mash-up of all the things they love and the results of this rustic, boho, outdoor summer garden wedding at Herons Farm are amazing. They incorporated lots of DIY decor, including a hoop table plan and a chalkboard unplugged ceremony sign. Plus wooden crates, family portraits, and a whole lot more for you to pin and swoon over.
Leila wears the prettiest sequin and tulle Needle and Thread gown with a flower crown, and David ops for Chinos, braces and a bow tie. Seriously it doesn’t get much cooler than that.
Capturing the magic was Carla Blain, who is one of our wedding supplier directory members and is fast becoming one of my favourite photographers. Her portraits are always full of emotion, as you’ll see below. Take the epic woodland smoke bomb pics for example, which as you know from a recent post team RMW wrote on Smoke Bombs I’m a HUGE fan of.
Industrial venues don’t come much better than The West Mill. It’s such a striking space with oodles of personality, but it’s also very much a blank canvas for couples. Laura and Joe filled the rooms with colourful rainbow tassel bunting, macrame and brightly coloured blooms. They wanted to bring a festival vibe to their wedding, which I think they most definitely did. The final result is so beautiful and just brimming with joy.
Look out for Laura’s incredible engagement ring, which I’ve been swooning over and the universally popular (and flattering) Maya bridesmaids dresses, which must be THE dresses of 2018 weddings. And for good reason – they are just beautiful.
Beautiful bride alert! Laura looks absolutely stunning in her hourglass Essense of Australia Wedding Dress, it fits her like a glove. The sweetheart neckline, lace bodice and embellished waist detail are truly exquisite. And lucky for us, Carla Blain Photography has captured it from every angle so you can truly appreciate its beauty.
The location for this sophisticated wedding was the lovely Combermere Abbey in Cheshire. Both timeless and classic and filled with the dreamiest light.
If you want to rock your bridal gown like Laura, then you should definitely check out our guide to choosing your wedding dress post.
No one does artistic, emotive and just darn sexy wedding photography quite like Carla Blain. Her style is so unique, creative and stylish, she captures weddings like no other. Katie and Sion are lucky to enough to call her a friend, so naturally they jumped at the chance to have her photograph their day.
The stunning Iscoyd Park was the setting for this wedding, it’s one of our absolute favourites and it’s always such a pleasure to feature stylish Iscoyd couples, like Katie and Sion. You can see more of them here, after you’ve swooned over this of course…
I don’t think there’s a bride that sums up the ‘boho luxe’ style more than gorgeous Hayley. She wears The Row, which instantly makes her a total goddess, and accessorised with a foliage crown and celestial Zoe & Morgan jewellery she ticks all the cool boxes too. This wedding is just so full of love and fun, which stems from the fact that Hayley and Luke held their reception at her grandparents home, in a PapaKata tipi.
Look out for the gin bar, the attention to detail is amazing and it looks like guests have thoroughly enjoyed it! Images come from the amazing Carla Blain whose dreamy, editorial style is just heavenly.
Beautiful bride Nikki in her Grace Loves Lace Gia gown, and Groom Lewis in his turned up trousers and braces from Topman are the epitome of cool at their tropical destination wedding at Nice Sea Resort, Koh Phangan Thailand.
Planned, styled and executed to perfection by Nadine at Phangan Weddings they had the perfect beach ceremony, a reception lit by hundreds of fairy lights and some of the most beautiful portraits by wedding directory supplier Carla Blain Photography.
This is honestly the stuff of dreams, and to quote the bride “there’s nothing better than saying I do with sand between your toes!” Just lovely.
