We’re treating you to a double whammy of talent today in the form of RMW recommended suppliers Darek Smietana Photography and Ben Walton Films, whose captures of this destination wedding at Chateau de Lartigolle in France are soo dreamy! Basked in glorious sunshine, and full of foliage, Lydia & Anogie’s outdoor reception will have you clingy onto the last days of Summer with all your might.
French destination weddings will always be in fashion; who wouldn’t want to say ‘I do’ amidst land that oozes love? Amy & Tim’s wedding weekend has us weak at the knees, with every picture perfect detail adding its own je ne sais quoi: from the incredible venue to the beautiful dress to the sensational styling – just look at that cornucopia of candles! – this catalogue of captures shows that heaven truly is a place on earth. Oh, and we haven’t even mentioned the Aperol spritz bar. Someone catch me before I fall even more head over heels.
I think it’s safe to say, the entire RMW team has a huge girl crush on today’s creative and entrepreneurial bride Chiara Perano, the stylish spark behind Lamplighter London, the original modern calligraphy studio. Chiara was handwriting envelopes and illustrating invites while the rest of the country was still selecting their lilac-butterfly-embossed stationery from that awful book in WHSmith. Chiara really has paved the way for many other design studios, and it’s a real honour to be sharing her wedding with you all today.
If you don’t recognise Lamplighter London, then it’s highly likely you’ll know Chiara’s book, Nib and Ink, the ultimate guide to modern calligraphy. And if you’re new to the wedding world and today is your first introduction to this fabulous lady, then prepare to be amazed by the gorgeous stationery and signage for her and Michael’s dreamy Bordeaux wedding.
Every last detail has been expertly captured by RMW favourites, Fern Edwards Photography and This Modern Revelry. The flowers by the incredible Kitten Grayson will have you swooning, and look out for the gorgeous custom Rewritten bridesmaids dresses too. This is a wedding with endless inspiration…I’ve literally died and gone to bridal heaven. Enjoy lovelies, I have a feeling you’ll like it too!
The oh so chic Chateau Lartigolle is instantly recognisable with its gorgeous courtyard and arched cellar, and made the ultimate party venue for our stylish bride and groom today.
Their celebrations started on Friday and continued through to Sunday, with nothing being too much trouble for the planning team to ensure Sophie & Alex’s wedding dreams came true. Owner Emma even turned her hand to floristry, making the immense pastel bouquet you see in the opening picture and the gorgeous garland framing the nuptials.
Every capture by Nigel Johh tells the beautiful story of this adorable couples destination wedding. From he golden light, to Bride Sophie’s exquisite lace Caroline Castigliano gown, you are going to be mesmerised.
Where to begin with Charlotte and Sam’s wedding day?! This duo are both super creative and obviously rather stylish, so naturally their wedding day follows suit. Lucky enough to call this French chateau home, it was a joy to bring it to life with a wedding celebration. Having a French address also meant that Charlotte and Sam could legally marry at their local mairie, which obviously meant another epic outfit change for the pair.
Images come from The Shannons, make sure you look out for ‘Le Station du Jazzification’ otherwise known as the glitter station…a must for all weddings as far as we’re concerned 😉
Our gorgeous bride today wears not one, but two beautiful gowns from Phase Eight, but being a wedding dress designer for the brand I could imagine she wanted to wear them all. I know I would have! The low back & beaded bodice of her ceremony gown is exquisite and the multi straps on her evening gown is the perfect detail to get the party started.
The location for all this style is the beautiful Chateau Riguard in Bordeaux, France which has the perfect mix of elegance and rustic charm with it’s greenery and candle light decor. I love that groom Phil stays true to his origins too, opting for a tartan kilt in his clans cloth.
Bringing all this sentiment and fashion alive is Real Simple Photography, so sit back relax and enjoy all this destination wedding has to offer
We have been snowed in, we have run out of food and patience with loved ones. We can’t remember what Summer looks like. Well, relax, unwind and sink yourself into this frankly bloody gorgeous wedding!
