‘Tis the season to be jolly, and this candlelit Christmas wedding at Gray’s Inn London is certainly full of joy.
Cara & Huw fully embraced the festive season with seasonal wreaths and Christmas carols, and smiled the whole time making John Barwood Photography‘s job a delight. It helped that he knew most of the family, having already captured Cara’s sister Lorn’s wedding, that RMW were lucky enough to feature too.
So if you want to feel all warm and cosy inside, definitely take a moment to savour this beautiful Winter wedding.
We hope you’re ready for some Christmas cheer because you’ll find it in its droves at this blush pink Winter wedding. But first, we HAVE to talk about beautiful bride Ashley’s customised faux fur coverup. I mean seriously what’s not to love. In fact, her whole bridal look with organza Justin Alexander gown, Prada shoes, and red lipstick makes her look like an absolute siren. Created by the lovely Poppy Tallulah, who is a member of our handpicked wedding directory ‘The List’.
The fabulous fashion choices continue with the groomsmen donning back tie suits and the bridesmaids in sparkly tops and separate skirts. Matching their attire beautifully are the stunning decor and florals. My fav being the fabulous advent calendar table plan. What a lovely idea. And talking of ideas, this Christmas wedding is full of them. Be sure you read on so you don’t miss all the Christmas songs sung during the ceremony, and their genius idea for wedding favours.
Behind the lens today is the lovely Lemonade Pictures, who always manages to put a smile on our faces with her captures.
If you’re having a winter wedding, embracing the season is a great place to start when it comes to styling. But it doesn’t all have to be Christmas trees, crackers and twinkling fairy lights.
This fun and festive shoot from super-creative Charlotte at La Fete, shot at the dreamy Penton Park, shows that seasonal styling can still be fresh and unique. From the mitten shaped place-names, to the gingerbread house (!) the whole shoot is just pure joy.
Now this is a cracker of a burgundy & gold winter wedding! What a super cool couple Luke & Georgie are! Their local church wedding ceremony was filled with Christmas trees, as well as an epic flower arch over the entrance. They then completely transformed their reception venue Ramster Hall into a haven of fairy lights, warmth and wonderful woodland table decorations.
Bride Georgie is a makeup artist by day, and just oozes style. Opting for gorgeous Lillian West bridal separates (including pockets in the skirt), and keeping true to herself with her adorable pixie cut. Her bridesmaids also looked fierce by her side in burgundy Coast sequin tops and high low skirts. Talk about goals!
There are plenty more helpful tips, gorgeous pictures by Matt Penberthy and Film by John Harris Wedding Films to ogle over, so I’ll keep you no more and let this lovely Christmassy wedding unfold before you.
This beautiful Christmas wedding is giving me all the excited tingles for the big day. Not only is it SO stylishly festive and full of joy, but it’s also a great reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to be a lavish affair. A simple candle lit ceremony followed by a family meal at the pub is just as special, perhaps even more so. The love just radiates from these images by Rebecca Searle.

There’s a definite chill in the air today, it feels like Autumn is well and truly here (in fact over on our lifestyle site today we’re sharing an excellent edit of easy Autumn fashion)…and so it feels totally acceptable to be using the C word. Christmas that is.

With a navy, gold and white colour palette, tonnes of twinkling fairy lights and elegant, thoughtful details. Images come from Chris Barber! Enjoy!

So here’s our ten tips for having a stylish winter wedding, just keep your fingers crossed for snow…!
I am head over heels in love with the light at this Christmas wedding. Bride Alice braved the freezing cold in her fabulous Halfpenny London bridal separates so Jacqui McSweeney Photography could capture the most beautiful golden hour portraits. The way the sun sprays through the trees, and the blanket of white frost glistening on the floor is. Just. Beautiful.
There was nothing cold about the twinkling reception though, oh no. It was a cosy, country pub celebration, oozing character, warmth and a delicious looking brownie tower wedding cake. Mmm mmm.
Given that it’s Christmas Eve and this is our last real wedding feature of 2016, we thought we’d truly embrace the season and share this Winter Wonderland wedding with you all. If anyone is planning a Christmas Wedding for next year, here’s how to use pastels, sequins, fairy lights and Christmas trees without turning things into a festive fiasco.
