Good job stealing someone’s heart is not a crime, because these two police officers are a perfect match. Janey and Rhys’ wedding weekend at the fabulous Fforest Farm in Wales is utterly joyous, with beaming smiles, a beautiful setting and so many brilliant touches; think afternoon tea, confetti cannons and the bride doing the limbo – not to mention a steel band and rum cocktails. Yes, please! Keep an eye out, too, for Janey’s gorgeous lace KatyaKatya gown, which she customises with different coloured slips throughout the day. It complements the relaxed, rustic feel of the day and suits her perfectly.
I can’t even begin to imagine how serene and lovely it must have been for this gorgeous couple to marry on the beach in Koh Samui, Thailand. Especially as it holds so many sentimental memories of their time dating.
The aisle and altar leading to the beach ceremony is utterly gorgeous. Draped in crisp white fabric, white orchid garlands and a dream catcher. With many more gorgeous details and decor cropping up around the Faraway Wedding Villa adding personal touches.
Now lets talk about Abi’s Grace Loves Lace Sally gown. What a stunner she and the gown are. I love the off the shoulder detail, it must have been so easy to wear in the tropical sun. Her boho bridal look was finished off beautifully with a vine headdress and the prettiest barefoot sandals.
Claudia Rose Carter has captured all the loveliness, as well as my favourite image of groom Rob kissing Bride Abi on the shoulder during the speeches at the outdoor wedding breakfast. I may have actually cried when I saw that pic it was SO adorable.
I really really adore engagement shoots…perhaps even more so than the weddings themselves sometimes. And I REALLY love weddings so that’s saying something. I think it’s because engagement shoots are stripped back to what’s important, what it is really all about; just the two of you and all the love.
Forget the fancy cars and the pretty dresses and the beautiful florals and the delicious cakes and the snazzy groomsmen and the decadent decor; at the end of the day all that really matters is how you feel about each other and the way you look into each other’s eyes.
Which is why this rain-drenched, fog-enveloping dreamy engagement shoot in Norway photographed by the über talented Claudia Rose Carter is well and truly up my street. I hope you lovelies like it too…
Nic and Sarah’s pre-wedding shoot by Claudia Rose Carter looks like a melancholy editorial piece from a glossy magazine.
Seriously…the gorgeous pair just look so glamorous and cool hanging out by the dark and brooding sea with the grey sky stretching out above them.
I love Sarah’s bold red lip and she just looks so happy, warm and safe with Nic – which is precisely how being with your fiancé should make you feel.
More and more couples are having engagement or pre-wedding shoots. It helps them to relax in front of the camera and get used to their photographers style.
As someone who HATES having their photo taken, I think it’s a great idea. Sarah says that her and Nic were very camera shy at first, but by the end of the shoot…well, I think you can see from these images that they both relaxed and ended up looking like models!

My inspirations come from everyday life, photo journalism and the music photographers of old and I love that I can pull all of that together into my style to create something unique on your wedding day. I know with certainty that it’s that which separates me as a photographer.
