When an esteemed photographer describes a wedding as “epic”, you know you’re in for a treat. And by golly, does Sarah & Lee’s big day deliver. For a start, we are at Iscoyd Park, one of our favourite venues and member of our handpicked directory The List. For seconds, there’s an incredible pampas grass and pheasant feather hanging installation. And then there’s the florals; the foliage; the neon signs; the Boston terrier! But really, it’s all about the dress, Charlie Brear’s Payton gown and feather Piora skirt creating serious aisle style credentials. Swooning eyes at the ready.
We are so in the mood for a beautiful – and beauty-filled – wedding, and this delightful day does not disappoint. Brympton House provides the perfect backdrop for the celebrations, which include a blushing bride in St Patrick La Sposa and a Britten Weddings veil (discovered through RMW’s handpicked supplier directory, The List), an elegant ivory, gold and grey colour scheme, a homemade chocolate biscuit refrigerator cake (mm mmm!) – and Barley the ‘bridesdog’. You will spy a few brollies amongst Helen Cawte‘s captures, but word from the wedded wise: don’t allow yourself to fixate on things which are out of your control. Bride Kate spent months worrying about the weather, and had more than ten forecast apps on her phone, but, with hindsight, she wishes she hadn’t spent so long worrying about the weather as there was nothing she could do – and she hardly noticed the odd shower. Plus, the white bridal brollies look rather lovely in the photos.
Sometimes, we all need to step back and remind ourselves what is truly important in life. If your wedding planning journey is starting to feel overwhelming or stressful – and we’ve all been there – then please take some time today to read this beautiful and brave account of one of the most incredible weddings we’ve featured on these pages. (Trigger warning: please have tissues to hand.)
This morning’s wedding features THE sweetest flower dog I’ve ever seen. I mean just look at her!!! What a gorgeous pup. It’s so lovely that she could attend her parents wedding at Burton Court, a stunning venue in the idyllic Herefordshire countryside. The flower girls are ridiculously adorable too, I love to see little girls wearing the kind of pretty dresses we wore as little ones – with ditzy floral prints and sweet collars.
Nicola & Rachael had a gorgeous big day, filled with rustic flowers, the prettiest dresses and lots of yummy looking cake. We always love weddings with a festival vibe and the tents and flags the ladies have hired created a magical atmosphere, and wait until you see inside, the styling is just lovely and there’s a cake table to rival the Bake Off…
