Girl goes on holiday aged 14 and falls in love with the Anassa Resort, hoping one day she will be married there. Fast forward a few years and her dreams come true at this truly stunning Cyprus wedding. Everything was planned and styled to perfection by Splendid Events including adding ghost chairs and clear platters to the al fresco reception which reflect light beautiful under the canopy of fairy lights. We’ve also fallen head over heels for the immense floral arch framing the doorway to the venue. Oh my!

This ‘barnquee’ wedding is a first for us – but we certainly hope not a last, as the marriage of barn and marquee is sheer brilliance. Claire & Andrew look completely at home in the rustic luxe setting – perhaps unsurprising when their love story started just down the road in St Andrews, where they met as students – which comes complete with its own 16th-century castle, boasting 10 bedrooms and 44 acres of land. Foliage and florals dominate the styling, with perfectly placed urns and arches stealing the show, as well as some fabulous botanical wallpaper in the barnquee. Genius. Plus, with the groom in a kilt, the bridesmaids in tonal dresses by Ghost and the bride in Charlie Brear, there is so much pretty lurking in every single corner. Smitten? Just a little.
How has it been one whole year since the Royal Wedding?! Featuring a whole host of the handpicked suppliers from our directory, The List.
Classic style never goes out of fashion, and this wedding is proof that timeless will always be on trend. The bridal party look picture perfect in their black tie and blush bridesmaids dresses, whilst the bride is a knockout in her off-the-shoulder St Patrick dress. Ooh, that lace! Hampshire Collegiate School – the former home of Florence Nightengale, no less – provides a stunning backdrop to the celebrations, whilst clever calligraphy signs – including a mirror table plan, kraft label place settings and wooden sign – look great and get guests into place. Multitasking at its prettiest! This is the sort of day that will never date. Pinning fingers at the ready…
