Sophie & Ed

Sophie is one very lucky Bride, her parents own Longbourn Barn which obviously made choosing a venue rather easy…how stunning is this place? If anyone is looking for a dry hire venue in the West Midlands – you MUST check Longbourn out. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read the hire cost and how flexible they are. This is truly one of those rare gems in the wedding world, I feel rather excited for any couples who this place might suit!

Sophie and Ed decided to take on lots of the wedding day details, even creating the flowers and catering themselves, along with their incredible families of course. If you’re thinking of catering your own wedding, or even doing the flowers, then do read Sophie’s report, there are lots of great tips in there. But first, let’s enjoy Frances Sales’ beautiful images…

Mona & Andy

Mona and Andy’s homespun barn wedding is just so lovely. The couple began their wedding planning by deciding what they wanted their day to ‘say’ which I think is a fantastic way to really map out how your want your wedding to be. If every decision comes back to that idea you’re trying to portray, then you’ll end up with a day that’s personal and full of joy, just like Mona and Andy.

The pair knew they wanted gorgeous photographs, so Frances Sales was at the top of their list. Her images are always so natural and really showcase the emotion of the day as it unfolds. If you’re after a cosy and personal barn wedding, then I think you’re going to love this one…

Eleanor & Raphael

I love featuring weddings from Trinity Buoy Wharf, but this one is extra gorgeous – the foliage and plant installations, along with the festoon lights and wooden furniture, make it truly spectacular. As well as being the most amazing blank canvas, the views from there are insane. It’s like having the whole of London at your feet…

The dreamy images come from Frances Sales, whose golden hour portrait shots of Eleanor and Raphael are absolutely stunning. Enjoy this wedding lovely ones!

Holly & Steve

I love seeing weddings from Trinity Buoy Wharf because the blank canvas events space is always transformed SO differently by each and every couple. Holly and Steve have added a vibrant palette of bold colours, balloons, a giant disco ball and some quirky vintage details as a nod to their 50s inspired theme. It looks fabulous – fun, fresh and definitely somewhere you’d want to party the night away.

Images come from the lovely Frances Sales, who always captures both the details and the emotions to perfection. Oh and look out for Holly’s swoonworthy Louboutins – a short dress is always a great excuse to invest in a pair of killer heels…

Josephine & Alex

Josephine and Alex thought they wanted a big beautiful wedding, but instead realised an intimate family affair with lots of personal details and DIY was more them.

They held their ceremony at the incredibly gorgeous Archbishop’s Palace in Kent, followed by a couples portrait session at Thurnham Keep, which along with Josephine’s Eliza Jane Howell Sibella gown you can be forgiven for thinking you’ve stepped into a period drama. She looks the picture of elegance in her embellished gown, and I simply adore her faux fur stole. Frances Sales has captured their style and grace beautifully, as well as their overwhelming love for one another.

Their gorgeous Winter wedding culminated in a relaxed pub reception adorned with dried flowers in milk churns and a fabulous sparkler exit to warm the soul.
