This wonderful same-sex couple did things their way at their incredible Syon Park wedding, with dashing burgundy and checked suits, autumnal flowers and a doughnut tower wedding cake. Today, UK Black Pride turns 15 and we thought that was something well worth celebrating. UK Black Pride provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ people of African, Asian, Caribbean, Middle Eastern and Latin American descent. Founded by Lady Phyll back in 2005, it has grown into a movement supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ community.
A couple of weeks ago we ran a competition on our Instagram and we were struck by one comment, in particular, that said: “As a gay man planning a wedding, I often feel excluded from the community but your page really tries to include and I love that“. That was written by Will Farmer and he’s here today to talk to you about planning his wedding to Fiancé Tom during lockdown.
Continuing our celebration of Pride month on RMW we’ve rounded up all the fabulous Gay weddings we’ve featured. (And, if you didn’t see them on Saturday we also shared a roundup of all our Lesbian weddings.) As we stated yesterday, weddings are all about people coming together in love and friendship and being proud of who you are and who you love. These stylish grooms not only don killer suits and colourful blazers but also nail all the wedding decor and details. From pared-back minimalist weddings to super-luxe Christmas celebrations, there is definitely a wedding style for everyone.

Happiness radiates throughout Tony and Robs vintage styled gay wedding at The Roost Dalston. The couple both live in Australia and so had to plan the majority of their day remotely, top of their list was picking a very distinctive and eclectic venue which they definitely succeeded in, creating style and colour from the props and artwork to inspire the decor perfectly. Both of their smiles are infectious and both grooms looked extremely dapper in their M.J.Bale suits. Their intention for the day was to be as informal and intimate as possible, enjoying every moment with their closest friends and family who, for some, were meeting for the first time producing a real mix of tears and laughter throughout, I’m sure you will also be smiling your way through this same-sex celebration.
